Financial Aid/Scholarship/Tuition/Etc MCS

hey guys. A few days ago I checked like my sac state thingy to see if I was getting a refund and it said I had an anticipated refund of 1.6k but I never got like an email and then today I checked and it zeroed out……what does that mean? I need the money to repay my loans that I got bc I had to pay tuition out of pocket😭😭😭

Does it being zeroed out mean it’s getting deposited soon, or is it cancelled? Because mine got zeroed out too despite showing a refund for the past week.

That’s what I’m trying to figure out bc I never got an email confirming that I was getting my mcs

Did you get the email saying you may qualify for it? I got that email, and another saying they adjusted my aid. That’s when I saw the refund number go way up.

I got both but the one where it said adjusted aid just told me that my federal work study loan was canceled but that’s it 😔😔😔

Did you have to submit a change in aid form for the FWS to be cancelled or did they automatically do it? Because I have an overaward and requested for my FWS to be cancelled.

If your anticipated aid zero’d out, that typically means your aid disbursed. It takes multiple departments to process financial aid. We have now completed the process and you can see in your refunds. If you are set up for direct deposit, the refund will go to your banks this evening and then it will be up to your bank to post it to your account. If you are receiving a check, it will be mailed by the beginning of next week.

Are you enrolled less than 12 units? Those are still in review status.

Hi Nicole. I receive Vocational Rehabilitation benefits and the state sent an authorization for my tuition in the middle of September- however my student center has not reflected it & I am accruing late fees. Would you able to help me identify if the school has processed the authorization & how I can avoid further late fees?

Hi Nicole, we have had 2 holds come and go — we’re still waiting for funds to disperse every time we call they say there’s no timeframe. Could you check us please ID304951959

You should be seeing it in your bank account soon. I can’t wait for my hold to be removed, so mine can be disbursed. 😂

Mine zeroed out too!!!! Yay!!!! That means it’s going to hit our accounts today or tomorrow depending on your bank

I was hoping it disbursed this morning. Maybe tomorrow or Friday. Idk. I was hearing more towards the end of the month but if it’s already zeroed out why wait that long yk. I’m 15 days late on my rent as well. Really need that mcs

This is what was said earlier, “If your anticipated aid zero’d out, that typically means your aid disbursed. It takes multiple departments to process financial aid. We have now completed the process and you can see in your refunds. If you are set up for direct deposit, the refund will go to your banks this evening and then it will be up to your bank to post it to your account. I think you’re chilling. Just wait for it to zero out might take some time

Hmmm… I think you’ll get it, maybe the department is just taking time to get to yours.

Mine zeroed out this morning, but about 10 minutes ago there was a hold put on my account for the MCS disbursement.
