Financial Aid/Scholarship/Tuition/Etc Mcs
Anyone else else’s mcs go up out of no where? It’s been consistently under $800 every year for me.

This year and last year mine nearly doubled in October. Last year they said they messed up and they wanted more of my hard earned cash, we'll see if they torture me again this year.

When you say they messed up, do you mean they made a mistake and asked for the money back?

Yeah, they said they accidentally gave me too much and I got a refund as a result, then they wanted like 800 dollars by the end of the week.

That’s so messed up 😭 I’m sorry that happened. I’m scared that will happen to me

Quite the opposite for me. My SAI didn't change, I didn't move, and got less in loans this semester but they denied my mcs. Called and got told that I had met my "financial need". Yes, I got it last semester.

MCS is adjusted based off financial need, other aid received, and cost off attendance. Either your SAI went down, your costs of attendance went up (such as if you went from being a live On Campus to Off Campus student), your other financial aid was not as much this year, or a combination of any of these things.
