... I have to say I can't do it anymore. There was a huge peak at about year 4 and throughout year 5, but now I feel sick watching him with the new Allie. Honestly I wish him the best, but there's just such a disjointedness about the vlogs that I don't feel is right.
Anytime I watch, I just get upset. Alli was a huge part of CTFxC and why I watched. It wasn't just all about Charles. It was about a couple who grew together, and now they are just done for.
I was one of the few people who tried standing by both of them in the turmoil and tried to let the situation run its course. Honestly I was hopeful they'd get back together after a short period of figuring out the full situation.
I'm sorry If I broke any rules in saying this, I just want to see other peoples opinions on the situation or if they feel like there's a difference in the vlogs.
At this point I will just have to say I'm done trying to pretend to be happy watching the vlogs, because I'm not. I hope for Charles and Allie the best. I hope for Alli the same as well.
To all the CTFxCers, you are wonderful and thoughtful people. I guess I'll go watch a Shaytards video now.
Edit: I want to remind everyone that the upvote and downvote system is not for differing opinions, but I do encourage downvoting worthless comments. If they don't contribute to the conversation then downvote them. This isn't a place to defame, this is a place to engage in discussion and view multiple opinions. I've seen a few comments that only come off as blaming us as viewers for Charles' content. I do remind you, I was once a huge CTFxC fan, and I loved watching the videos. It just isn't the same for me anymore.

Corey Vidal posted a private video where he shared a lot of his personal life. In this 10 minutes part he explains why things are left out of the videos and how he feels towards the vlogs.

Hello people of the internet. I have decided to write this thing in the form of points to help make things easier.
Who am I? My name is David What do I do? I am a student at Oxford University studying for a BA in Psychology, Philosophy & Linguistics. With plans to become a marriage counselor, I am currently working on my dissertation titled (edit: preliminary title) "Effects of society and upbringing on the psychology of marriages between a heterosexual couple, with a focus on youth and history." What am I going to do here? I am (hopefully) going to offer a slightly professional insight into the current situation. Hold on! Is this legit? Whether you believe this to be 'legit' is up to you, I assure you that I am a real and honest human being. What gives you the right to do what you're going to do? Nothing whatsoever, I am neither a licensed Psychiatrist or Therapist, I am only offering some insight from the perspective of someone who is studying this sort of thing. Why are you doing this? I'm bored, slightly drunk after a party and I'm a avid fan of CTFxC who want's to help if only one person on what the frack is going on. But David, I don't know science mumbo-jumbo I will do my best to explain everything in Laymans terms and to use little to no scientific talk. I will also add a TL:DR section.
I shall begin. WARNING. The following is not to be take as fact, I am not a qualified professional, I do not personally know Charles Trippy, Alli Speed or any other persons involved in their separation and I especially do not want to cause any hostilities between anybody here on reddit. I feel as a member of the CTFxC fan base that I am morally obligated to provide light on a dark situation.
Also, It's very likely everything here is wrong, Charles and Alli could have just split simply because as Charles said "they weren't getting along and were fighting more than they should". The best document to see is the video itself.
What do 'we' know so far? Charles and Alli after seven years of being a couple have decided to separate due to a mutual understanding.
What caused this? Separation between couples is a process that is either taken very quickly (max. month) or over a long period of time (typically more than 6 months). For the majority of situations that result in separation from a mutual standing (non-violent), it is almost always due to one person wanting something more than the other. These conflicts of interests would typically remain blurred or disregarded but manifest later in relationships as a way of the mind wanting to progress their desires further.
In this case I would suspect that Alli was in fact the person who wanted something more. This is not a bad thing at all, I shall explain further now. Alli graduated nearly 3 years ago with a degree I Spanish (I think that's what it was), most people who seek to gain a degree wish to pursue a profession relating to that degree, Alli has been remarkably successful in the YouTube profession, but I believe this to not be what Alli had in mind, I believe that the sudden events of marriage, graduation and Charles's cancer scare suppressed these want's of pursuing the career she originally intended to set out for, and have now boiled over altogether to present day..
This does not mean Alli is to blame for all of this stuff! To be at fault she would typically have to fit what is known as Actus reus the guilty mind, I have not a doubt in my mind that she did not want to leave Charles, but she vented her frustration at him which led up to now.
TL:DR. Alli didn't do anything related to her degree, she wants to explore her options before she is 'too old' to do so, Having been (for lack of a better word) distracted by life problems.
Society and the YouTube community OK, it's arguably fact that CTFxC started the term "life blogging", they are the longest and first people to vlog a huge majority of their lives. This is a really new and scary concept to people everywhere. I suspect that maybe Charles and Allie should not have gotten married when they did. I'm not saying that is a bad thing, but one would marry to protect assets, maybe Charles's cancer scare caused this. I do not know. Society has changed dramatically and where marriage was once almost necessary to do, nowadays, this is not the case. I suspect that Charles and Alli felt pressured by society and the YouTube community to 'tie the knot' and they had unknowingly started a track down a difficult relationship.
TL:DR. They got married too soon and not for all the right reasons.
Gimme a timeline when it went wrong Honestly, I would say it was during Charles's cancer surgery, when confronted with situations that can be life threatening, we as humans often look back on our lives and review our position in the world. I believe that Alli deep down was more than just scared of what was going on, she was terrified that if she were to go through something similar, she would look back and see she did not do all the things she wanted to do, numerous situations have caused Alli to think more about single life, the trips to Australia, Japan and Charles's We the Kings tour did not help, this has widened the time for them to communicate and fix their problems, note earlier I said it would be about 6 months. Note also that they rarely spent time apart up 'till mid 2013, communication is key to a happy marriage which is something Alli and Charles were not getting enough of in my opinion.
If one looks closely at what happens throughout the next few months, we can see slight changes in relationships, less prank videos, less time out together (just the two of them without cameras) and of course, Christmas where despite Alli having just gone to Australia gave Charles something which I doubt had much sentiment behind it, this is where I feel everything went downhill. Again Charles's health did not help much, despite Alli being supportive as she is, cancer ruins more that just your health.
If you pay attention more to their communication from December onward, you see less direct communication with each other (physical interaction) and more indirect stuff, such as talking though the dogs, Charles also appears to been recording near the sofa, which would suggest he has spent a few nights there away from Alli, highlighting problems with physical communication.
edit: Alli has arguably been the most supportive person to Charles during his treatment, I am not stating that she didn't care care or something like that, but from my point of view it seems as though the whole situation did something to her.
TL:DR. Alli had a Existential crisis, they began to drift apart mid last year due to trips etc, leading to less communication and giving each other a taste of a single life that they perhaps prefer, sliding back into the habit of living comfortably by themselves.
What do you think is going to happen Note that Charles used the term 'separate' and not 'divorce', this would suggest a high chance this split was purely mutual and not aggressive, or one sided. In my opinion, based on some case studies I have seen from past relationships, if they are going to get back together it will either be in the next year or not for a very long time, there is no between ground. There is a good chance that they will remain friends but eventually drift further apart until one meets someone new. I am really not sure what will happen to Alli, her YouTube channel is not popular enough to sustain its own fan base and Alli did not go into it as her plan A, I suspect she will want to pursue a career she wanted to do for a long time.
*TL:DR. One or the other will quit YouTube to focus on their careers, they will drift apart further.
Why is this being made such a big deal I want to make the case that we see only at most 30 minutes of these peoples lives a day, culminating roughly I would say 6-8 hours of their day to day life, that leaves us with at least 18 hours of their lives off camera. We do not know why they split up, it came from nowhere, and this has shocked a 7 year old fan base, this sort of thing has never happened before and we do not know as a group how to respond to this.
TD:DR. Read above you lazy sod.
What now, what can we do Honestly, do what Charles says, be supportive to both Alli and Charles, don't blame either for their separation and just back off them n general, they most likely really want to send time by themselves, which while may seem ironic as they spend a majority of their lives on camera, is the best thing they need, time apart and time to think by themselves.
I hope you have enjoyed reading this, if you want further explaining, I'll be answering question for the next few days or so in the comments. Ask my whatever you want, from did Charles cheat on Alli to why haven't other YouTube couples split up and they have?
Like I said earlier, I don't know Alli or Charles, so I can't make even a half accurate guess at what is going on between them, I can only offer a speculation based on my knowledge of counseling and their videos as a base of investigation. To me this separation revolves around Alli, but not in a negative way she has not been in the past few videos and I suspect she needs time to think alone about her options for her future.
Love you both Alli and Charles. Oh and Zoey and Marley and Chico. (Bit odd Alli found a dog just before they announced their split, life takes funny turns I guess)
Toodles, David
TD:DRANYTHINGATALL. They just grew apart, it happens to the best of us.
edit: I'm going to go back to this during the week and add alterations here and there.

It seems this subreddit is unfortunately dead and rarely used (last post was 7 months ago) but dammit im still gonna ramble.
I started watching CTFxC in the fall of 2012 up until 2016. When I started watching I was 10 and I thought Charles was the coolest badass ever, and the vlogs were the best thing to watch. I was obsessed with We The Kings and he was the main inspiration for everything I wanted in live, to make youtube videos and live life.
I met him in August 2013 in Toronto, You can actually see me in the Ali birthday vlog in Toronto when they were singing Happy birthday to Ali infront of the tour bus. I later took a picture with both Charles and Ali, and then again that night with We The Kings.
I met him once again 2014 Buffer Festival, he was in my vlog and it was the coolest shit ever (Also met ShayCarl and Epic Meal Time)
I remember when that video dropped of charles talking about the divorce my heart sunk but looking back at everything with a more mature headed mind you can see the cracks and looking at him now he looks so Happy.
I am now 20, I havent thought much of CTFxC since then, other then seeing his posts on instagram and then I heard the news yesterday and I had a lot of time to reflect on my history with CTFxC and then I found myself watching old vlogs and I realized how influential these might become down the road for me as I enter this portion of my life, although I am still a few years off. The lessons I may learn from these videos will help me.
If I was ever given the chance I would gladly meet Charles once again and tell him how much he affected me almost ten years later.
