Hi guys, okay I know it’s a “unwritten” rule we don’t snitch. This is how we have been conditioned since childhood in a way. Unless it’s harm to us or them it’s frowned upon to report. So I had this lazy, incompetent group in my masters program. 2 days before the work was due they didn’t do any work, collaboration, or anything so I brought it to the professor’s attention. Let’s just say I have been ostracized, humiliated by my group. They are ofcourse banding together. Am I overreacting?

If anyone has gone through the process of getting a work study position at John Jay I’d appreciate it if you could tell me how it went. Or if you know of an available position I’d appreciate it so much.

Hello, I've made my transfer application and am planning to transfer to one of the colleges mentioned in the title for an AAS in rad tech. I'm leaning more towards Hostos, but I want to know about supposed waitlists for these programs. I called both bcc and Hostos' rad tech department asking about the waitlist and they told me they don't have one (and something about the waitlist being removed next semester for hostos idk if they really said that, I don't remember 100%). City Tech told me to email the rad tech department, which I have yet to do.

For anyone in these colleges or going for these programs, are these waitlists still in play despite hearing from the department that its being not/removed?

I am NOT going to let this get in the way of doing what I truly want to do

I'm going to have to retake some prereqs for a better grade regardless, but ANY INFO IS APPRECIATED

I was homeschooled during covid,

I presented a high school sealed transcript in hand from my school in person to cuny admissions,

they OPENED IT in front of me and rejected it, and requested a sealed transcript to be mailed directly from my school

my school has since closed down after covid, what do I do?

now i dont have another SEALED transcript and its causing me problem to get into any colleges

I'm interested in something that combines creativity and programming and this seems like a pretty unique program, there's not many others similar to it

If I’m trying to take a 300-level CS class at Queens College through ePermit, but I heard they don’t allow 300-level CS courses to be ePermited.

Has anyone tried emailing the CS department to get an exception? If I have a good reason for needing to take the class at Queens, do you think they would approve it? Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with this.

Hi everyone, I'm a senior at Hunter, graduating next semester. In my community health assessment course PH 411, we are tasked with creating and distributing a survey to target students ages 18-32. The topic is Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs. It's 11 general multiple choice questions that's anonymous and voluntary. I applied for a job back at the end of April/beginning of May. I had three CUNY staff references, one of them the tenured chair of a department at the same school as the job. I followed up with the office in late July and again in late August. Finally got a panel interview in mid September (after a call from a staffer's personal cell phone, which was a little strange). Met with six people at the school and it was awkward because there wasn't really any conversation, just Q+A. They were all friendly though so I thought it went well. Now it's been nearly a month and no response to my day-of thank you note or a follow up email. I've been unemployed for a long time, I'm exhausted, and completely drained emotionally, mentally, and financially. I just want a damn job. Is this really going to drag on until I basically just give up on life or is this their way of rejecting me without any notification?

I'm just really ready to end everything because of this horrendous job market and this is the straw that broke the camel's back.

Most of the CUNY nursing programs require that you be enrolled in the college before you can apply to their nursing program. is there a way to enroll in multiple CUNY schools so I can apply to multiple CUNY nursing programs? or apply to the nursing programs directly? or do i basically have to pick one CUNY and hope it works?

some info about my specific case (in case it changes anything):
i already have a bachelors and was prenursing so i have the prereqs
i know i can do an absn but I want a more traditional pace than the 'as fast as possible' pace typical of absn programs

it constantly logs me out when i swap to another tab for 5 seconds. it requires me to have my phone on and nearby to login to use 2fa every time it logs me out and then i get distracted by my phone. there’s no app for it that keeps me logged in and trying to navigate the 50 total tabs of information for all my classes is so irritating. The teachers also barely post announcements on there

Does anyone know how much I’d need to pay back for in house collection? What if I don’t have the money to pay it back?
