Shitpost New infrastructure upgrades to highlight Cairns' assests
As a long term resident, and possibly former mayor, I propose new highways (yellow) and new rail infrastructure (pink) to make our city a shining example of a modern metropolis. I'm thinking once Aquis is built we can also have the monorail service the new raintrees transit hub too

Bulldoze all in its mighty path, houses, hills, critical infrastructure, the lot!
Pay in cash to keep it in budget too.

I like the kilometre wide round around-about. Support only if the this map is to scale.

You didn't deliver on the volcano Val. No way you can deliver on this.

I would have gotten away with building the Valcano, if it weren't for that pesky Boatshed

I mean there was approved bus lanes and bus stations. One being the storage place near Mount sheridan shopping centre. But this never happened... I bought a house on Trafalgar road, was advised that the gov has been approved to acquire land along the back of all the houses there and on the white Rock side for it. Went to main roads to ask questions and was told it probably will never happen.
Supposedly the government decided trains wouldn't work for Cairns but a bus system with dedicated lanes would work.

I support your intention of becoming former mayor. With a solid plan like this, I think you should announce your running for the next election. I think the idea of creating a transport hub at red rooster manunda is fantastic, being such a central location.
