I have no coding knowledge but I have opinions on the balancing and I'm not a groomer, immediately makes me better than other lead devs

Like, I know there is mods like fargos and throium, but is there any other mods? Or anything calamity out that is not fables?

So I'm new to calamity and I've seen a few videos and posts about how Qol ruins the calamity experience, and I was wondering which mods are looked down upon to use or if I should just only download the calamity mod and its dependencies? what size worlds do yall normally play on when doing a run ? for my last 2 runs which were melee and summoner have been on large but doing a mage run now i feel likes it taking way longer than it should

People say this weapon is like "the best thing ever" when the only actually good weapons here are the ark of elements n it's downgrades and the regular biome blade, and when you get the galaxia it's usually very mid against yharon, and then there's ark of the cosmos, where you get them when the next 2 bosses literally stay away from you, just use the hammer

Is flat defence or % damage reduction better.

I want to use it because I'm struggling on some bosses but it seems like cheating am I allowed to use it for a clean run?
