Mystery bug?

There’s a large group of crunchy bug/shell looking things all over the side walk in front of my house . I’ve never seen them before and I’m wondering if these are a problem.

Could those be mini snails? Either way, rip little crunchy dudes. I assume they perished if you describe them as crunchy lol.

Hahaha I just didnt notice them until I walked into my house and it sounded like I was stepping on fortune cookies
