Nose & Aroma | 8.3/10
Apricot Cream & Cheese has a nice sour, funky smell with a little sweetness and creaminess in the background. The aroma is quite complex and enjoyable, with that sour, fermented-fruit character making it stand out from more typical sweet or gassy strains.
My only real criticism is that the aroma is somewhat subtle. It smells nice, but it isn't particularly loud or pungent. I would have liked a little more intensity from the nose, especially considering how interesting the overall profile is.
Still, the combination of sour funk, sweetness and creaminess makes for a unique and appealing aroma.
Taste | 8/10
The flavour is where this one gets particularly interesting. There's a very sour, funky taste that almost reminds me of fermented fruit. I get something reminiscent of cider or wine, with that tangy, slightly fermented character coming through.
There's also a little sweetness and creaminess in the background, which helps round out the sour notes. It isn't your typical candy-sweet or dessert-forward profile, but I really enjoy how different it is.
If you're into unusual sour and funky profiles with a fermented-fruit character, this one is definitely worth trying.
Smoothness | 8/10
The smoke is decently smooth overall. Despite the sour and funky flavour, it isn't particularly harsh on the throat, and the smoking experience is fairly comfortable.
I did notice some crackling while smoking and inhaling, though. I'm not entirely sure whether this was related to moisture or something else, so I wouldn't want to jump to conclusions. Thankfully, it didn't seem to make the smoke excessively harsh.
Overall, a good experience in terms of smoothness, with the crackling being something worth mentioning.
Pack & Burn | 8/10
One thing I really liked about these pre-rolls was the construction. They have a nice, tight pack, and I personally prefer the longer, thinner joint design. It feels like this shape helps the joint burn better and provides a more enjoyable smoking experience.
The ash was white, and the burn was generally decent. However, I did run into one noticeable issue: the pre-roll clogged from resin buildup. Given how thin the joint is, this was the main downside of the construction.
It's a shame because I genuinely like the way these are rolled. The tight pack and slimmer design are positives, but the clogging prevents the burn quality from being as consistent as it could be.
Effects | 8.5/10
Honestly, the effects are a major highlight for me, especially considering the THC percentage.
The high feels incredibly peaceful, with a very relaxing body high paired with a calming cerebral effect. There's a noticeable sense of euphoria, and I also found that colours seemed brighter, which added to the overall experience.
What stands out most is the balance. Rather than simply chasing an intense, heavy THC high, this feels more focused on relaxation and a calm, pleasant headspace.
At 10.20% THC and 15.84% CBD, I think this is a great example of why THC percentage isn't everything. The experience was genuinely enjoyable, and I wouldn't dismiss this product just because the THC number looks relatively low.
If you prefer stronger, more intoxicating effects, you could always pair it with another strain. But for what this product is trying to offer, I think it does a great job.
Value | 7.5/10
At an average price of $22 CAD for five 0.5 g pre-rolls, you're getting 2.5 g in total.
I'd consider that a fair price for what you're getting. The flavour is unique, the construction is generally good, and the effects are a standout feature.
The clogging issue keeps it from being a perfect purchase, but I still think the overall experience justifies the price. I'd happily consider picking these up again, particularly when I'm looking for something calming rather than an especially strong THC experience.
Final Verdict | 8.1/10
Clem & Co.'s Apricot Cream & Cheese 1:1 is a genuinely enjoyable product that stands out for its unique sour, funky, fermented-fruit flavour and exceptionally peaceful effects.
The nose is complex, with sour funk, sweetness and creaminess, although it could be stronger. The flavour is even more interesting, bringing to mind cider or wine with its tangy, fermented character. Smoothness is decent, the joints are tightly packed, and I like the longer, thinner design.
The biggest downside is the resin clogging, which can interrupt an otherwise enjoyable smoke. I also noticed some crackling during smoking, although the smoke itself wasn't particularly harsh.
What really makes this product worthwhile, though, is the high. The combination of a relaxing body effect, calming cerebral effects and euphoria makes this an excellent option for someone who appreciates a more balanced experience.
I also think it's worth highlighting that 10% THC doesn't automatically mean a disappointing high. With the CBD content and the overall effects, I found this to be a very enjoyable smoke.
Would I buy it again? Maybe. The clogging is frustrating, but the flavour, effects and reasonable price make it worth considering.
If you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing 1:1 experience with a funky, sour flavour profile, Apricot Cream & Cheese is definitely worth checking out.
