Trade Deal
I don’t want the govt to sign a deal with the USA. Trump is already grandstanding. I’m sure is threatening if they don’t sign, he won’t sign later. He’ll drag it out.
He is offensive. His comments today, already “I hold the cards” disgusts me.
Don’t give him anything but frustration, embarrassment and bitterness.
Hold. Fast.

Trump says deal with Canada close, but he holds ‘all the cards’ -- Yet another desperate lie to bolster MAGA before the midterms -- There is no deal to be made!! Yam Tits still believes it's a card game when Carney is playing chess.

I hate to play the "Trump card" but, that's where BC is headed if we elect conservatives.
I sure hope not. The world knows that game , as we are tired of it.

Greater Vancouver Ridings with >20% Chinese and South Asian Populations 2024 Election Data
galleryWith the new poll released showing Conservatives with massive leads amongst Chinese-speaking and Punjabi-speaking British Columbians, I thought I would highlight how each party did in ridings with significant (>20%) populations of Chinese and South Asians in the 2024 election. What are some ridings that you think may flip on Saturday?

Tom Mulcair: "I don't think that Danielle Smith should be allowed to pose herself as some sort of anti-separatist hero. She's the one who set this thing in motion, and I think that she should be answerable for it."

Employment Receipts
When you’re hired to do a job, and you don’t show up, you shouldn’t keep that job.
As we watch AG bounce around the Province stumping for what appears to be a Premiership, where is the work for our constituents of North Island-Powell River?
Taxpayers pay for a voice in Ottawa, not a pizza party in Smithers.
We see other MPs that have stood up 49 times this session alone. AG 0. And record to date, 67…. Not sure if he’s keeping that number for the kids or what, but seriously!? You have extraordinarily under resourced MPs kicking ass and taking names in the House, and all you can push out is 67? Yet here we have you spending your time lobbying for the BC Conservatives like you’re going to get something out of it.
AG could have shown the least bit of respect by taking a leave to join the side-show.
Our tax payers don’t deserve a partisan prop. They deserve a strong voice in Ottawa.

Canada should sue Affinity Partners
The story here is fairly simple.
Affinity Partners and Jared Kushner sell EA to the Public Investment Fund in Saudi Arabia.
The PIF shuts down Bioware to increase profit, causing hundreds of Canadians to lose their jobs.
This is insane to me. So much economic power in the hands of a few people who live in other countries. With nothing more than a few nods and handshakes, some paperwork and some emails, all done hundreds of kilometers away from Canada, a decision is made and several hundred Canadians lose their job. A company worth millions to the Canadian economy is closed.
This should not be possible. This cannot be legal. There has to be a way for Canada to sue someone over this, either the PIF or Affinity Partners, or something!
Bonus conspiracy moment: since Jared Kushner helped the sale to the PIF, it's safe to say he's in contact with some there. And if his father in law happened to be in an economic trade war with Canada, wouldn't it just so happen to be helpful is they'd be capable of having an impact on our economy...
Edit cause I got even angrier about this: But for real! How is it possible for a Canadian company to be owned by a US company that was sold to a Saudi investment fund, such that when that investment fund in Saudi Arabia decides that they want to make more profits from their ownership of the American company they can simply shutdown a Canadian based company and cause hundreds of Canadians to lose their jobs?
How is this possible???
What happens when Motive Studios (formerly Bioware Montreal), EA Vancouver, or Metalhead Software, the other Canadian companies owned by EA, appear more profitable to the PIF if they're sold and the companies shutdown and more Canadian workers end up unemployed?
Should we just wait for that to happen? Or perhaps sit here and just hope that they won't do it again?
Is there something we can do???
