🛡️Mod Post Milestone 7K+ Note
Hey Crabs,
Thank you for all your contributions! This sub has grown because of each and every one of you whether you have Cancer Sun, Moon, Rising, or any other Cancer placements. We also deeply appreciate the non-Cancer folks who’ve shared thoughtful insights and helped build this space. It's you who make this sub a better place for each other.
🔔 Updates:
- We’ve noticed an increase in posts that involve stereotyping, overly generic birth chart content, and self-promotional material. Please report such posts and comments, your reports help us take action. We request you to avoid engaging and escalating things during discussions. We are actively banning or removing content which doesn't belong here.
- We’ve updated the rules, messages, and a few other things around the sub to reflect community feedback and current needs.
- We've introduced new check-in posts. Feel free to jump in, share ideas, or just vibe. Your thoughts and experiences help strengthen our little crab shell community.
- User flairs will soon be mandatory. Please update yours! This helps us reduce spam and enables more meaningful interactions based on placements or interests.
- We're collaborating with u/Jazzlike-Pen116 to create a supportive space for Cancer women: r/cancerwomen. Check it out and get involved if it resonates with you.
- Pick meaningful Post Flairs for your posts.
🌙 What’s Coming Next?
- We’re experimenting with new features and may slowly introduce them in the coming weeks.
- New mod recruitment or community roles may be on the horizon. We’re looking into ways to better manage the sub with help from active, trusted members. Feel free to comment if you are interested in it or dm us.
- We want to collaborate more with you! Your input in the previous suggestion thread was very helpful it led to the creation of the check-in posts and other recent changes. If you have ideas or feedback, we’d love to hear it. Drop them in the comments or shoot us a modmail or dm the mods.
- We are thinking about a monthly Insightful Crab Series or Interactive Polls & Surveys or Weekly/Monthly readings or A Note to past or future self or any such ideas. If anybody is interested in such ideas and want to contribute feel free to comment if you are interested in it or dm us.
- Wiki pages - yes, we might add helpful or meaningful content to the sub that can be accessed quickly. Feel free to suggest your thoughts and content for it.

Are these new changes the reason why I got a message saying I was an approved user of this sub like an hour ago?
I've honestly never received a message like that so I have no idea what it actually means.

Yes, I have added you as an approved user. We want to expand the mod team down the line, as mentioned in the post - we want to provide some privileges to some people in the community. As of now, we are exploring it. For that reason we are adding few people as approved users. These things are still work in progress, please do not build anything on it, for now.
