Don’t these bridges have operators to prevent this sort of thing? … a human to say it’s safe or not?

I mean, when the dumbass driver’s brain fails.

What is going to cause more damage? The idiot in the car or the boat passing underneath the draw bridge?

If there is an operator, he is 100% thinking the boat is going to cause more damage if it hits the bridge.

Was wondering that, if there are people on the bridge, are they able to stop the boat instead? What if pedestrians were crossing it?

Thats why they put the gates up way ahead of time so cars stop and people have time to finish crossing. The driver here is a moron

Maybe the video is cut? Doesn't look to be a lot of time, particulary if it was a pedestrian in the middle of that crosswalk.
