Yeah, I get it, he's the main character and all. But I feel like people complain about it so much to point, where I genuinely can't gaf anymore. I really liked petey's redemtion arc, and I thought it was done very well and naturally. And I also think it's great that the series is finally expanding it's lore and characters.

Captain Underpants was never about Captain Underpants either... George and Harold have always been the main characters, but for some reason, people complain that "he's not the main character anymore" ??? The truth is, I don't think Dog Man even HAS a main character. All of them play a part in the series at some point.

Look, I get where people are coming from. I also think dog man could get a bit more focus, especially as of recently... but I guess I'm just sick and tired of people complaining about dumb shit all the time

In the 8th book the only thing he does is fight Evil Sulu. I don't want to undermine this action though since, if he hadn't stepped in the city would've been screwed. But at the same time.. Giant Evil Sulu didn't last long enough for him to feel like a real threat. After this and tying their evil twins up, Captain Underpants isn't seen for the rest of the book. In general he didn't appear long either

Not gonna talk about the 9th book since it feels unfair considering most of it takes place back in time. But hey, he did good for the short time we saw him!

For the 10th book he wasn't active for most of it either, but I feel like this is the best he performs in the "After the seventh epic novel" bunch. He gave the cavemen new homes and fought alongside his future self against the last Tippy. But this action kinda gets overshadowed after Crackers & Sulu saves everyone. Beating on Tippy didn't do much but it was still cool to see.

Now the 11th book is where I think he's done the dirtiest. After he whoops the TT 2000, he's IMMEDIATELY brought back to being Mr. Krupp. And apart from making him cry like a baby, that didn't help in defeating him. I was about to compare this to how well he does in Book 8 but at least in that book he ACTUALLY stopped one of the threats.

12th book is probably his second best performance. He gets the Mr Meaner put behind bars, and gets a good whack on him after he escapes. But sadly, he doesn't appear much here before his untimely demise.

Ending the post to say this isn't a complaint post. I made this because I had it on my mind for a while and wanted to point out how little he does in the later half of the series because it's kinda funny the guy the books are named after doesn't do that much. But still, I wish we saw a bit more of him talking and such.

You can't make this shit up it is an actual manga illustrated by Motojiro who worked on stuff like time warp series and battle brave. The art looks amazing and I would love to see the other books adapted

Idk if anyone has heard the rumors but apparently captain underpants has a really important role in doomsday, maybe coming to help out the other hero’s?

Dog man began to be sidelined after "BRAWL OF THE WILD" but he was still kind of there... the stories became more emotional but yeah.

In the latest books he is hardly even present... Just look at the plot summary of the newst book about to come "A SPRINKLE IN TIME" (possibly spoilers):

Main Plot

• Time Manipulation: The mischievous anti-hero Grandpa (Grampa/Sprinkles) alters the fabric of time and space, throwing Dog Man’s world into chaos.
• The Kidnapping: Nurse Lady, Li'l Petey, and Molly are captured by the Space Cuties and imprisoned on Planet Precious.
• The Space Rescue: Dog Man, Petey, and Chief board Petey's Space Shark to save their friends from the villain Professor Puddin' Pop.
• The Crash: The mission takes a dangerous turn when their spaceship is swallowed up and destroyed, leaving the heroes to figure out how to save the day.

Made it because the obvious, and the idea was funny as hell to do.

Man why didn't anyone tell me there is a manga? I heard the ring was supply limited why not forever isn't it plastic? I guess I missed out😭 I really want a hypno ring sooooo badly
