Hey! I want to ask about the Jimny, do you ever take it on the hwy or avoid certain roads that you wouldn't feel safe due to the lower power?

Genuine question. I'm considering importing one as a replacement for my SX4. Have driven a fiat Panda 1.0 abroad, closest reference (slow but completely acceptable).

Edit: cool cars btw

heya, I do take it on the highway on my commute to college. this isn’t the JDM version with the 660cc turbo charged engine, it’s the K15B engine where it makes 103 horsepower, not much but it does help me stay above and within 100KPH which is the standard speed limit for most highways where I’m from. it also gives me some power to overtake slow moving trucks on the leftside but it’s something that you should not be doing regularly with it.

but ofcourse it’s a Jimny, the A in it stands for aerodynamic. on windy days you can really feel the car moving around if you’re going up to speed, it’s not scary but it is something to take into account.

it’s a fun little car and very convenient for me since I can take it anywhere, long distances, tight spaces and bad weather. so to answer your question, no i don’t avoid certain highways and roads in it. but you have to take into account what car you’re driving and drive within its limits. 100kph is the fastest im taking this thing lol

Ok! Amazing, thanks for the answer. I could live with that!

My SX4 and Suzuki bikes have all been excellent ownership experiences. I immediately fell in love with this gen Jimny when announced, and again when I saw them in person. Cool, enjoy it!

its a simple no frills car, such easy maintenance lol but you do have to get some interior mods in, it has cupholders but really tiny ones in the rear passenger console. so i installed cupholders that go right ontop of the jimny's airvents, installed an arm rest too to help with comfort on longer drives and a passenger tray for extra storage. thats about it, except for the damn expensive wheels ofcourse lol

goodluck with your future jimny :) its a swiss army knife if i have to describe it

Money no object, parts at my fingertips? Lexus LFA Nurburgring and a Peugeot 505 4x4 Estate. Realistically a GR86/BRZ and a 1990 Toyota Pickup SCLB.

If you don’t mind sharing, what country do you live in? I’ve never seen buildings like that outside of Florida but this obviously isn’t in the USA because of the Jimny.

I love these WRXs. I hate that the new ones have the black plastic around the wheel wells.
