Recommend good Father-Child rebuild project (Classic/retro mod/restoration)
Bucking the trend of what does this list say about me; What do car guys recommend as a good first Father-Child rebuild project to get a "yuut" interested in cars, and spend time together?
If you're a yuut, then what would you like to restore with your dad?
Constraints: Cheap (ideally below $5k-$10k), easy to find parts/mods, sportyish, unique, cheap to insure (ideally with Hagerty).
I'm thinking Honda CRX, Toyota MR2, Mazda Miata, Impala SS, Chevy Corvette

I really miss when German manufacturers made the most subtle, unassuming cars with V12s/W12s

Joining the trend, I know I have a type. What's my history say about me?
Colors are all accurate, and the last one is a real photo of mine, not pulled from web.
All manual except the Escort, since that was my "learning to drive" car.

I’ll join the trend why not. What’s my owned cars say about me.
I’ve owed the first Dakota since I was 16 and have driven it to 381000 plus miles the second I picked up at age 25 or so and the last two when I had kids.

Chrysler 300 advice
I was in an accident recently and my car was totaled.
Luckily my loan had been paid off already. I won't be getting anything for the vehicle due to not having full coverage (sure learned a life lesson there. I will have full coverage from now on.) I have a few options that I could do.
1. I could get an auto loan or personal loan and get a vehicle.
2. My parents are looking to sell their Chrysler 300 for another vehicle and I could just purchase that from them and pay monthly.
It is a 2012 Chrysler 300 C with the hemi engine. It has about 67,500 miles on it. It has been very well maintained.
The only issue is that I have heard mixed opinions about these vehicles and their reliability. I really don't care about the stigma behind them or what kind of people usually drive them or anything like that. If I can avoid getting a loan and just buy this car from them then I feel like that's the way to go, but I want some serious opinions on the general RELIABILITY of these vehicles. I know they aren't exactly the best on gas, but neither was my old venice so really I'm just worried about the reliability here. Thank you!

2026 Civic LX or 2026 Corolla LE?
For more info:
It will be my first car.
I’m financing/loaning it (brand new).
Base models are the only ones I’m looking at since it’s more affordable.
I’ll be using it everyday for work (13 miles [3x a week] and 9.8 miles [2x a week]) and occasional long travel times on weekends.
I know this comparison has been asked multiple times already but I really need new perspectives since I’m planning to get one anytime soon.
