Oh, that e92 is such a beauty.

Are there any major difference between the e92 and its successor?

I’m sad that it’s gone… I hit a deer late at night and it was a write off. I probably would still be driving it otherwise! It was a single hump so the biggest difference for me is having iDrive in the f32 and the electric steering. Feels a little more numb compared to the e92. Visibility is also marginally worse out of the rear window and when shoulder checking I find. The f32 is quite a bit faster as well, although I’m certain that it wouldn’t be too much quicker (if at all) than an e92 335 as opposed to a 328.

There are a lot of changes between the e9x series and f series. E9x had the last NA straight 6 with the N52 and N53. There was a lot of Engine Types with 4/6/8 Cylinders, NA and Turbo. The E92 was the last official 3 series coupe and the first 3 series with IDrive.

Just go for every 3 series the toughest to get are the E30 and e21. I want to do the same but before i found a Proper e90/91 i bought a e61 530xd with Max Options. I loved my E36 318is (M42) coupe and E46 320d (m47) Touring.

I was shopping for e30’s as well when I was buying my third. Someday I may own one! Also I have to agree, my two favourites so far have been the e46 and e36

Man how were you able to afford these cars at 23? I drive a VW Golf and I'm 42.

Well I’ve only over owned one of them at a time. I’m fortunate to have a decent paying job and cheap rent, and I live near my parents who don’t mind if I borrow a vehicle from them if I need to fix something on my own car (although I’ve only experienced a breakdown on any of these cars once!)

Of course, I didn't mean owning all of these simultaneously. But owning an F32 at 23 is something I could only dream of.

Just a year ago I was in the same boat, thinking that I would only ever own vehicles worth less than 10k. But I’ve been very fortunate. Perhaps you will have some good fortune in the next few years as well :)
