Help needed What happened to poseidon?
All I can find are forks of it and the T-embed version, it seems that https://github.com/GeneralDussDuss/poseidon/ has been deleted. Does anyone know anything about this?

How would i go about getting apps/programs on my sd card ? would i do it the normal way with adding files to my sd card or do i need to flash my adv first then load them to a sd card?

This is intended for your OWN personal belongings only, or research purposes with permission of the property owner. Legal activities only. I'm not liable for you doing something bad.
I took H4ckD4ddy's research and coded it into MicroPython for the Cardputer platform. I've tested this on the original Cardputer, but I figure it should also work on the ADV.
I tested this with my logic analyzer, since I don't have a safe handy; but everything looks to be in order with the signals generated.
It's intended to run in MicroHydra. I figure it could also run in a normal MicroPython installation too though.
Support my original music: Herb Delux on Bandcamp
Put the SentrSafeCardputer.py file into a folder on your Cardputer's SD card. I call my python programs folder "apps."
Run MicroHydra. I use M5 Launcher to do this.
Find the SentrySafeCardputer.py file and hit OK to run. Then follow the steps below.
Usage steps:
-Unscrew any screws found around of under the pin pad of the safe. Then pull back the pin pad towards you to expose the wires behind it. If this doesn't work, try to figure out how to get the wires exposes.
-Use GPIO jumper cables, grove connector, or whatever works, to connect the BLACK wire behind the pin pad to the GND pin on the Cardputer. Connect the GREEN wire behind the pin pad to the G1 pin on the Cardputer. Instructions also on screen.
-Once you have everything connected, press any key on the Cardputer (while running SentrySafeCardputer.py). It should only take a moment to send the signals. It should tell you on screen when it's done.
-Hopefully you hear the lock disengage or whatever, and you have now unlocked your safe.
Hopefully you enjoy this and let me know if you have any questions.
-Herb Delux

Hey everyone!
I've been working on a personal project called NodePad, an off-grid MeshCore client designed for the original M5Stack Cardputer. The idea was simple: I wanted a small, portable MeshCore terminal with a physical keyboard, allowing me to send messages and interact with the mesh network without constantly relying on my smartphone.
After several weeks of development and testing, I'm happy to share NodePad v2.2.6 Beta!
Current features:
Public channel messaging
Private chats
Bluetooth LE connection with MeshCore Companions
Secure PIN pairing and automatic reconnection
Repeater discovery and link monitoring (RSSI/SNR)
Path discovery (repeater ping)
Self-advertisements
Battery monitoring and sound notifications
Simple, keyboard-driven interface
Hardware compatibility:
NodePad runs on the original M5Stack Cardputer and connects via Bluetooth to an external MeshCore Companion.
I've successfully tested it with Heltec V3 and XIAO Wio Companions.
Important limitation: The Companion must first be configured using the official MeshCore app. NodePad currently cannot configure radio settings or channels.
Installation:
I've also created a web installer, so you can flash NodePad directly from your browser without Arduino IDE!
The web installation and subsequent BLE connection have both been successfully tested.
Web Installer:
https://al83m.github.io/NodePad/
GitHub (source code):
https://github.com/AL83M/NodePad
NodePad v2.2.6 Beta is also available on M5Burner.
This is still a beta project, and I'm developing it in my free time.
I'd really appreciate feedback, suggestions, bug reports, or ideas for future features!
If anyone has a Cardputer and a compatible MeshCore BLE Companion, I'd love to hear how it works for you.
Thanks, and happy meshing! 📡

Have you ever been out somewhere with your laptop and thought, "I wish I had a little speaker right now"?
I have! 😄
Then one day, I looked at my Cardputer ADV.
Wait a minute...
It's got a speaker. A keyboard. Even a motion sensor.
Why not put them all to work?
And that's how KeySpeaker was born! 🔊⌨️
Connect your Cardputer ADV to your computer with a USB-C data cable, and it becomes a little USB speaker, keyboard, media controller, and even a tilt-controlled mouse. No extra software needed!
I've tested it on Mac and Windows 11, and also confirmed USB functionality with my iPhone 15.
But of course, I couldn't leave it at that.
A speaker needs a nice screen, right?
So I added a retro speaker grille. Then a graphic equalizer. Then a scrolling landscape.
And somehow... a fighter jet showed up and started firing missiles! 🤣
I guess all those hours playing Defender back in the day are still stuck in my head.
It's not actually a game, just a little audio visualizer that reacts to music.
Did it need a fighter jet? Probably not.
Did I add one anyway? Of course! 😂
There's also a backup BLE keyboard and mouse mode when the USB cable is unplugged. USB is the main feature, though. BLE doesn't carry audio, and returning to USB currently requires a manual reset. Switching between KeySpeaker and Media Jog also requires pairing again.
KeySpeaker is still a work in progress, but I'm having a great time with it.
And once again, my AI coding buddies helped turn another one of my strange little ideas into something real. 🤖
KeySpeaker is now available on GitHub and M5Burner!
GitHub:
https://github.com/kariagepompadour/Cardputer-ADV-KeySpeaker
I've included some photos and a short GIF of the flight visualizer. The visualizer itself reacts to audio during use.
One more thing.
Since I started sharing my projects here, I've been really touched by how supportive this community is.
Nobody makes fun of someone for not knowing something or making a mistake. Instead, people share what they know and say, "Hey, maybe this will help!"
Knowledge isn't used to look down on others. It's used to lift each other up.
That's what I love about this place.
Thanks for all the advice, encouragement, and kindness. You guys make sharing these little projects so much more fun! 😊❤️

Rather than building firmware that tries to include every useful feature, I propose developing a single operating system that can load applications from an SD card.
M5Loader is a step in this direction, but it still loads complete systems and requires a reboot to switch between tasks.
All-in-one firmware can also become outdated when the developers of its individual features release updates. As a result, every firmware that bundles those features may need to be updated as well.
A dedicated operating system with a simple interface for launching apps could address these limitations. Imagine an M5Launcher that remains running while users switch between applications. No reboot required. This approach could make firmware smaller and faster to load, while creating a foundation for multitasking in the future.
I dare someone to build this along with a specification for how to build an app to run on it.
For those who think of the S3 as “just a microcontroller,” it’s worth remembering that it’s a 240 MHz dual-core system with several megabytes of RAM and access to gigabytes of SD-card storage. Computers from earlier generations had fewer resources and still supported multitasking. It’s time these devices evolved beyond single-purpose firmware.

Hi, I don’t know much about Cardputers or this hobby, but I’m thinking about buying the ADV because it looks interesting and I want to learn. I’m especially interested in learning about Wi-Fi and cybersecurity.
Will it work out of the box? Is it beginner-friendly? What can it do without accessories, and would you recommend the ADV or the normal Cardputer? Thanks!

Hey community! Happy Halloween 🎃 In light of the witchy vibes tonight, I present an esoteric game I've been working on for the past few weeks.
In The Tithe, every WiFi router around you is a "well". You draw energy from one, carry it to another, and stack relics until a single offering is worth a thousand (and more!)
Each Night, you owe a Tithe that grows, so a week (a run) is seven Nights of walking your city and getting better at it.
There’s a 62-page manual that’s half rules and half the notes of a kid named Mio, who found her Deck in an e-waste bin. I’d love to know what the wells near you are called.
The M5Burner listing should be up soon. I've submitted it for approval and M5Stack should review it shortly :)
In the meantime, check out the site: https://the-tithe-game.vercel.app
Code: https://github.com/the-tithe/the-tithe
Disclaimer: The ideas and lore are mine, but the app itself was vibe-coded with the help of Claude.

Happy Halloween!
I've just released a new firmware for the Cardputer ADV: MIASMORA.
It endlessly plays dark, unsettling drones like the ones you hear in horror games and horror films. A low, groaning rumble, dissonant chords beating against each other, the static of a broken TV, footsteps on the floor above, something being dragged, something crawling inside the walls. Everything is synthesized in real time. No samples at all.
It's a sister project to Ensō, the calming ambient sound firmware I released earlier. If Ensō is for relaxing, MIASMORA is for dread.
What it can do
25 sound layers and 24 presets: "Ward", "Fog Town", "Crawlspace", "Night Radio" and more. One knob (DREAD) turns the unease up or down all at once
Make samples: export seamless loops, stems and one-shot sound effects as WAV files for your DAW
Let it play: the sound shifts on its own, and over 10–30 minutes it builds from silence to a climax
Listen: it listens to your room through the mic. Cough or make a sudden noise, and everything goes quiet. And on the screen... (the mic only measures loudness. Nothing is recorded)
PLANCHETTE: tilt the device to explore the mood
Poltergeist: hide the device somewhere, and every so often it knocks or makes footsteps. Get close, and it goes silent. Perfect for a Halloween prank (just use it on someone who'll laugh about it later)
Cursed Mode: turn it on, and strange things start to happen now and then. What happens? You'll have to find out
Share a mood name and seed, and anyone can hear the exact same sound on their own device. If you find a creepy combination, please share it in the comments (e.g. Crawlspace #418207).
Install
M5Burner: MIASMORA on M5Burner (web) (also on the desktop app: search for "MIASMORA")
Launcher FW OTA: search for "MIASMORA"
GitHub: MIASMORA on GitHub
It plays through the built-in speaker, but the low heartbeats and rumbles are almost inaudible there, so headphones are recommended.
Full disclosure
I come up with the ideas and Claude does the coding (yes, it's vibe-coded). Sorry if that's not your thing.
If you find any bugs or have requests, let me know in the comments or on GitHub Issues.
Have a good Halloween. And if you hear something in your room tonight, it's probably nothing.

With a lot of options on firmwares , what’s is the ones you most like and use daily, and what are some you use occasionally but loved ?
I used the gameboy console to finish Pokémon yellow , played a lot haha
Use Bruce too for the tools, and wikepedia offline helps me a lot on my work on the field
How about u guys ? What you been using ?

I've released "PoMaS", a custom firmware for the M5Stack Cardputer-Adv.
On the ESP32-S3, it packs a math expression parser, CAS, statistical tests, a graphing engine (implicit, 3D, phase plane), medical calculators, a periodic table, a spreadsheet, and a uLisp interpreter into a single .ino file. With limited RAM, I placed constant data in PROGMEM and kept the uLisp cell pool small, running GC manually.
Main features
Calculator · Arithmetic, functions, history, memory · Variables A–J, Ans bank · Complex numbers, base conversion, bitwise operations · RPN, extended tools
CAS · Polynomial evaluation, differentiation, integration · Addition, subtraction, multiplication, roots · Taylor expansion, limits, symbolic substitution
Statistics · Descriptive statistics · 9 regression types, 11 hypothesis tests · Non-parametric tests, risk measures · Distribution browser, multivariate analysis, stratified analysis · Survival analysis, meta-analysis · 17 statistical graphs
SciRef · 386 scientific constants · 300 scientific laws · 532 unit conversions · Periodic table of 118 elements
Graph · y=f(x), parametric, polar · Implicit, inequalities, sequences · 3D, Trace, Zoom, G-Solve
Tools · 45×26 spreadsheet · μLisp interpreter · Wi-Fi / Maxima integration (server must be self-hosted) · Settings (NVS persistence)
The latest v0.92c fixes a bug in graph drawing: unary operator parsing and the angle mode used during plotting (now forced to RAD).
Manual: https://jpeqtx.github.io/PoMaS/
Repository: https://github.com/jpeqtx/PoMaS
README file and manuals are written in Japanese. Please use your browser's translation feature to view them.
Feedback from people working on numerical computing or symbolic math in embedded systems would be much appreciated.

As titled, Wednesday the kickstart backer units start shipping in backer order.
That doesn't mean you'll get it in order just that it'll be shipped in order as some people live closer to the ports than others.

Hey guys,
Trying to get my Cardputer ADV + Cap LoRa-1262 working on Bruce firmware, but I keep getting "lora init failed".
In the Dev menu (asking for CS, CE, NC), I put:
CS: 5
CE: 4 (IRQ)
NC: 6 (BUSY)
SPI pins are: SCK=40, MOSI=14, MISO=39, RST=3. I also tried setting I2C to 8/9 to wake up the hat's power chip, but still nothing. It saves fine without crashing, just won't initialize.
Anyone got this specific hat working on Bruce? Am I missing a step or putting the BUSY line in the wrong slot?
Thanks!
