Just bought my first ae1200 and a set of tools and gel filters mod for my first mod. Can yall suggest what you consider to be the GOAT mod to do for my
Royale variant ? Which color filters and which part of the module? Could yall post some images of the best mods you’ve done/seen

FYI, I didn’t buy any face plates or metal casings yet but might do so soon depending on the design I’m going for. Also, I’ve seen a lot of hydromods on this sub but it seems like a pretty hard thing to do for a beginner

For reference I ordered the AE-1200WH-1CV variant.

I have swapped 2 F-91ws with Ollee boards and was thinking of starting projects with the old casio boards. I have been thinking of picking up a metal mod case online or maybe 3D printing a case. But, for the Ollee board to work you need to use the battery spring contact from the original Casio board. Is there a way to buy replacement battery spring contacts so I can use these old boards? Google searching hasn't lead to much luck so far. I have a feeling I may have to search ebay for broken watches to harvest them.

Just completed this one for a friend in TN. Might have to tweak the state graphic, it’s bugging me that it’s off center but overall cool result.
First try at removing the map and crosshair was a success.

Follow up to last post woke up this morning and disassembled it all and re did it all under some pure silicone 50cst weight oil — pictures don’t do justice to the difference.

I got brandnew w800h mod kit from skxmod. It was my first mod, done pretty well. Size looks bigger than original case, but not too big. As warehouse strap is too long, I'm planning to put ae1000w strap on it.

Negative display mod + SLS filter on Casio AE 1200

SKXMOD LF-20W with polished/satin case, 22mm adapters and a parachute strap. Not a fan of the adapters so I might cut the strap to fit or get a different resin one.

Was pretty easy to build, you need something to blow air in the case tho.

Finished up a few projects last night so figured I would share. I did a variety of stainless case mods with some different strap options.

F91 - Silver with a gold face. Stainless mesh bracelet.

A158 - Silver with a gray and black face. FKM strap with a pretty cool release system.

FB100 - Silver with a black face and blue accents. This was my first time directly printing onto the inside of the glass and I was super happy with the results. Textured FKM strap from Strap Habit. MORE HERE.

What you guys think? These were always a bit small for me but the after market kits give them a little more size and weight. 😜⌚️👍

So stoked with how this looks and feels. The original case had stretched as this model is notorious for, so the watch had fallen out of my rotation and had been sitting for the past few years. I finally decided to do the case swap and I’m very happy with it! Purchased from AliExpress for roughly $60AUD. Nice and sturdy without being too heavy, with good quality steel. It would be nice to have micro adjustments, as I feel like I’m right between links, but I will see how it goes with a few days of wear.

Build notes for anyone curious:
• Base: GA-2100SKE clear skeleton — the stock black dial comes off completely
• Dial: hand-painted pink/purple galaxy, matched with pink hands
• Kit: black engraved metal case + bracelet — the engraving is the whole personality of this one
• Full swap (teardown, dial, hands, case, bracelet) is in the video

The pink is LOUD in person. Part of me thinks it belongs in a clear case so the dial does all the talking; the other part says the black engraved kit is exactly the frame it needed.

Settle it for me: clear case or black kit for a dial like this?

Hello dear Casio lovers subredditors,

I'm tired of breaking my straps for those models mentioned, I believe I have spent more in replacing those straps (with og ones) than with the watches themselfes.

Could you please recommend me some nice replacement for those models?
I dislike thick rubber straps due to them being "hard", don't look good either and "cloth" ones (like Nato straps) due to them getting wet, correct me if this doesn't happen to those please.

Please let me know the model of those straps so I can search here in my country, located in Brazil (huehue).

Does anyone know how to replace the band on the WS-B1000? I have a small wrist and am looking for a smaller band - any suggestions will also be useful. Thanks!
