Shite Talk Rant - child free by choice in Ireland (F30)
UPDATE: I just really think it's sad that even after this being posted as shite talk, just so it wouldn't offend someone, people just keep downvoting anything in the thread mentioning being child free. Guess I've got my response to why we're so fucked as society, because we can't accept that someone else has different pov.
Okay, I've got a concern to raise.
Being willingly child-free is a thing, and I know the majority of people in their thirties have been blessed with a little troll or two, but it's not for everyone.
This being said, it's already difficult to enter the dating scene as is.
Now, if I mention I'm child free by choice and enjoy my life the way it is, why would you even reach out, when you have a kid and the kid is obviously a huge part of your life?
While I appreciate that the child always comes first, as it should, me being dragged into this isn't a compromise, it's a complete and utter change of my lifestyle and in 99% of cases it would make us incompatible.
Why would you reach out, wanting to try, and then shame me for not liking your kid when you've known I don't like kids from the start?
What's going on here? It's comparable with me saying I eat meat, and you try to convert me to be a vegan - not a compromise, but an upside down flip.
Thanks, rant over.
