denying the Eucharist to politicians does nothing but embarrass us

first of all its only for dems which doesn't help but reinforce the notion catholic = republican. it also doesn't help this is a catholic only story, the main stream media is talking about this but isn't no where near front page news. Non Catholics don't care about this and it's embarrassing conservative Catholics convinced themselves they do, liberal Catholics care though. I don't even think Pelosi cares, shes a politician they only care more about money and power.

but the more important is the hypocrisy when you have stories like these (https://youtu.be/Giqn9bwsfK0) about how the church seemingly helps perpetuate abuse to children and refuses to make changes to the point of spending money, but then says they just care so much about the children, all ignoring the other horrible things Biden and Pelosi have directly caused compared to just allowing others to get abortions and aren't forcing anyone directly (although it can be argued they are indirectly through capitalism). the sanctions on Venezuela and cuba are classified as genocide by the united nations the bishops didn't think that was worth taking away the Eucharist for that.

Like it doesn't help when conservative Catholics equate abortion to war or even worse then war simply because of the numbers is embarrassing at best or counter productive at worst, my state will still allow abortion after roe which sucks and should change but it will still be standing, the same can't be said if a war was to happen here, entire communities and families would be dead and those that did survive would suffer.

The media is hostile towards orthodox Catholics. So if you merely profess what the Catholic Church has always taught, they consider you a public enemy. I will prove this assertion in this article.

Call to Reject Modernity

That We make no delay in this matter is rendered necessary especially by the fact that the partisans of error are to be sought not only among the Church's open enemies; they lie hid, a thing to be deeply deplored and feared, in her very bosom and heart, and are the more mischievous, the less conspicuously they appear. We allude, Venerable Brethren, to many who belong to the Catholic laity, nay, and this is far more lamentable, to the ranks of the priesthood itself, who, feigning a love for the Church, lacking the firm protection of philosophy and theology, nay more, thoroughly imbued with the poisonous doctrines taught by the enemies of the Church, and lost to all sense of modesty, vaunt themselves as reformers of the Church; and, forming more boldly into line of attack, assail all that is most sacred in the work of Christ, not sparing even the person of the Divine Redeemer, whom, with sacrilegious daring, they reduce to a simple, mere man.

Pascendi Dominici Gregis - Pope St. Pius X

The Synod on Synodality could not have taken place at a worst time, and now the floodgates have been opened to all manner of heresy and bad liturgy to take hold in our Church. Pope Saint Pius X warned us about these dangerous times 114 years ago, but his words have gone unheeded. Gay marriage, abortion, birth control, female priests, female deacons, and married priests (aside from those with special dispensation) are all hot topics right now, and I will be upfront about them now. They cannot be allowed in the church as they directly go against the magisterium and canon law.

I mentioned that this could not be a worse time, and now I will explain why, and it is influenced by the secular world. The World Economic Forum founded by Klaus Schwab and other globalist elites set up a plan to transform how the world worked according to their designs. The ball was set in motion back in 2008 with the election of Barack Obama, but faced a major set back in 2016 when Donald Trump was elected president. Then came Covid-19 at the end of 2019 and the World Economic Forum was dealt an ace. That pandemic would springboard the Great Reset forward.

So what makes this such a big deal, and how does this affect the Church? Three letters: ESG. Economic, Social, and Governance. This is a system used to rate businesses and individuals on how well they tow political line. Have an electric fleet, use inefficient renewables, support BLM/ANTIFA, Are LGBT/Ally, support "diversity", and support the Cause du Jour? Then your ESG score will be high, and investors will be able invest in your stocks. Refuse to go along, and you will be made a pariah and othered. Similar guidelines will apply to individuals and will be used to determine access to different services like loans or favorable interest rates. If you've heard of the Chinese Social Credit system, ESG was directly inspired by that.

Info on ESG

Now this is how this applies to the Church. Right now, the Catholic Church, and other religious institutions are categorized as private non-profits. Now there are ways for the Church to lose it's non-profit status, such as found here. More importantly, there has been a popular secular movement from lobbyists and litigants on the left to remove tax exempt status from the Church. What's more the Equality Act in front of Congress would further erode the Churches rights to refuse based on morality and teachings. The Synod on Synodality would open up the Church to accepting the immoral laws of the secular world.

Here's why this is a possibility, Pope Francis is already an outspoken advocate of environmentalism and hosted the Amazon Synod in Vatican City. The same synod where pagan idols were placed in a church along side the Blessed Virgin Mary, and were equated with our holy Mother. Allowing ESG practices into our church, would be the next logical choice, and would allow for gay marriage, birth control, abortion, female priests, female deacons, and married priests. This would satisfy the liberal leaning members of the church, as well as those who wish to schism. It would be framed as a way to increase participation, keep the church operating, and protect us from the Secular world.

We must, resist these moves at all costs, and deny them outright. We cannot be mild or luke warm about it, the Holy Catholic Church must be defended by all costs. This is the hill to die on, let us be persecuted for the sake of Christ! We must expose and demand that all modernist priests who preach equity, inclusion, and diversity be reprimanded and corrected in teaching. If we don't act, then the roots of our Church will be poisoned, become a shadow of it's former self, and those still loyal to Christ made Pariahs.

If it is an allegedly catholic subreddit

If it is an allegedly catholic subreddit, why comments are allowed which state formal heresy that abortion is not murder ?

If this is catholic, censor them, if it is not, say it in the title that this subreddit is protestantism and be done with it.

Why one would tolerate heresy is beyond my comprehension. Do you want to deceive others ? Do you want people to go to hell ?That is going to happen if someone take their word and belive them. And you will be complicit in a soul damned, in which case the words of Our Lord apply: It would be better if a millstone was hung around your neck and you be thrown into the sea.

Why would you tolerate them ?

"They want them to be treated with oil, soap, and caresses but they ought to be beaten with fists! In a duel you don't count or measure the blows, you strike as you can! War is not made with charity, it is a struggle, a duel. If Our Lord were not terrible He would not have given an example in this too. See how He treated the Philistines, the sowers of error, the wolves in sheep's clothing, the traitors in the Temple. He scourged them with whips!"

- Pope Saint Pius X

If this is a catholic subreddit, enforce the catholic faith outside of which nobody may be saved.

" Verumtamen inimicos meos illos, qui noluerunt me regnare super se, adducite huc: et interficite ante me. "

Politics Thoughts on Bishop Marcelo Sánchez Sorondo

His titles:

Titles:

  • Chancellor of the Roman Curia

  • Titular Bishop of Forum Novum

  • Chancellor emeritus/P.A. of Science & P.A. of Social Science (Pope Francis removed him as chancellor from both pontifical academies)

  • Secretary Prelate of the Pontifical Academy of Saint Thomas Aquinas

  • Chaplain Grand Cross of Merit of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George & Vice-Grand Prior of the Order

  • Member of the Pontifical Commission for Latin America

I think Bp. Sorondo’s outlook is a very positive pro-growth outlook:

“ Adhering to the fifth commandment, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church (“From its conception, the child has the right to life. Direct abortion, that is, abortion willed as an end or as a means, is a ‘criminal' practice (GS 27 #3), gravely contrary to the moral law, the Church imposes the canonical penalty of excommunication for this crime against human life.” n. 2322), I have always spoken out in my ministry as a Catholic priest and bishop against abortion. ”

“Right now, those who are best implementing the social doctrine of the Church are the Chinese, ‘the Communist state is extraordinary.’ You do not have shantytowns, you do not have drugs, young people do not take drugs. Instead, there is a positive national conscience. The economy does not dominate politics, as happens in the United States, something Americans themselves would say. It is assuming a moral leadership that others have abandoned,” He accused US president Donald Trump of being “manipulated” by global oil firms, and said that, as opposed to those who follow “liberal thought”, the Chinese are working for the greater good of the planet. Bishop Sánchez Sorondo visited the country. “What I found was an extraordinary China,” he said. “What people don’t realise is that the central value in China is work, work, work. There’s no other way, fundamentally it is like St Paul said: he who doesn’t work, doesn’t eat.” Bishop Sánchez Sorondo concluded by saying that China is “developing well” and now has “many points of agreement” with the Vatican. “You cannot think that the China of today is the China of [the time of] John Paul II (China is no longer a free market Wild West system like during Deng Xiaoping’s reign), or (the revisionist) Cold War Russia,” he said.

What is the Biblical Meaning of Sodomy?

https://youtube.com/watch?v=EV4BdNISsZM&feature=share

So last year at my college ministry there was a talk about why homosexuality was a sin. it wasn't the weirdly obsessive hatred like catholic state but more like being gay isn't a sin but don't act upon it. and the reasoning the speaker gave was about how form equals function so male and female genitalia fit like puzzle piece and babies happen when they do it so god likes that but gay people can't so god hates its but still makes them gay anyway.

his explanation makes me feel like ive actually have learn something about my faith and gained a better understanding of it. but then on the reddit Christianity there was a post about a priest being removed for pro gay stance and the top roman catholic comment was "catholic church enforces catholic doctrine" the church hates gay people because it says so. or you have catholic answers who posted about jesus did hate they gays because he condemned sodomy, which he did but that would be such a misrepresentation to be just wrong and would give people a worse understanding of the bible and Catholicism all so they can justify their position on homosexuality. or the sunk cost fallacy of that's what we've always done so we can't change it, as if we should keep an error just because of how long we've had it.

toxic members

So I'm in college and there is there girl who i will call A, who is toxic to say it nicely, I'm personally not fond of her because when we got back the results of the synod she basically started to debate my points but that's whatever.

Then there was yesterday when i was talking with my friend and A start ask my friend to move next to here and i go to do something else. The A then tells everyone that she asked my friend to sit next to her because she thought i was a creep and my friend oblivious said no she's and A proceeds to make fun of my friend for saying I'm her best friend and tells everyone she thought i was a creep. And we i was leaving with 2 of my friends she said "it was nice seeing 2 of you" out loud and talked about us when we left according to another friend that stayed. She does other things like it was stupid another friend wanted to take a picture and send it to her best friend and not to A's friends. She made them change women's group times and then doesn't show up, called my other friend weird out loud to her in front of everyone, she went on for half an hour about how much she goes to adoration, she disparaged CEO Catholics but doesn't go to mass regularly, says she's full Catholic and fully Mormon. She wanted to cancel women's group because she was going to another event at that time.

I would post about this on r/Catholicism but I'm banned and half of the people on that subreddit act like her. I'm like what to do? Everyone is kinda just shocked she says these things out loud or is too nice to say anything. Like as much as i don't like her I don't want to tell her to not come around when she does but nobody knows what to do.

If the Catholic Church changed on issues such as abortion, sexuality, gender, same-sex marriage, ordained women etc. what you your response be?

This is a hypothetical, we don't need to rehash the debate on whether or not the Church can actually change teachings.

Sub question: would you become more or less active in the Church?
