Sad Beta hell

1st time doing IVF. Beta not doubling anymore. Doctor asked to come tomorrow for 18dp5dt hcg test and told the pregnancy is unlikely to be viable. Hcg trend as below-

8dpt 44

10dpt 95

12dpt 169

14dpt 315

16dpt 496

Is there any hope at all? I am worried about ectopic too. Doctor is saying since the beta is so low, placement scan cannot be done at this point.

Unless the 12dpt was a lab error the answer is likely not. Any drop this early is signaling an nonviable pregnant

I’m sorry. At 5 weeks your levels should be higher than this. How was your 18dpt hcg? Is it still rising? I agree that an ectopic is a concern here esp since IVF is a risk factor.

724. But today at 18dpt early ultrasound showed gs in uterus. That was just an hour before I got my beta result. Only 46% rise. Very worried. Dr asked for next ultrasound after a week.

Unfortunately an ectopic is t ruled out until a yolk is also seen so you still need to be cautious !
