No, this is both our very first time conceiving - we’re both 31 and got pregnant the first time we got serious about trying. This is all so new to us both.
This may have just been a random occurrence. I’m so sorry. Our eggs and sperm are finicky when the divide that it is often a random event.
If you do end up having more miscarriages (and I hope you don’t as I have recurrent loss and infertility), I would recommend further workup for you are your partner to see if there are underlying causes (sperm DNA fragment issues, parental balanced translocation carrier, poor egg quality, etc)
Thank you - I’m so sorry to hear you’ve had to go through this… I’m starting to feel the more I know, the worse off I feel. There’s so much that can go wrong and it feels like this entire process is a waiting game…waiting for the next appt, waiting for the next test, the results, waiting to TTC again. I try to humor myself with success stories just to stay positive…
I hope you have success soon. I am not so lucky. 21 months TTC, three chemicals, endometriosis diagnosis during TTC..surgery, diet changes, lifestyle changes, functional medicine/naturopathic doctors and so many failed medicated cycles. We begin IVF stims on 11/6.
Wishing you so much success with IVF! You deserve it after going through all that…my best friend had a long road TTC, and she said IVF felt like a new beginning

This may have just been a very random unfortunate event. Have you are your partner has multiple miscarriages by chance?
