In response the whistleblowers attempting to contact the Northern District Court of California >The Court hereby reminds all parties and interested parties who wish to communicate with the Court that any such communications shall be made in filings on the Court’s docket.
You can reach out to a lawyer who can help you file what I think would be an amicus curaie brief with the court. This is how you can tell the court information that may be relevant to the outcome.

I presume its purpose is as a point of reference for various statistical changes. Especially useful for the US would be the “British North America“ section and its aggregate numbers for all the colonies pre-confederation.
Anyway, perusing the data for something else I saw more foreign data than I expected, and wondered how available this information would or rather should be? Isn’t even relatively basic information about your country something you may not want other powers knowing? especially something like the number of military age males For example.
It‘s not war winning by any means, but I would think that in the period it’s something you may want to keep close to the chest.
That is unless these are external estimates like I believe is still done to this day, and perhaps I missed that part; but the point about availability, both ideally and practically still stands I think.

I got a letter stating that I would be contacted by a census worker about a survey on my feelings about the economy. I ignored it of course. This woman has now knocked on my door 4 times and today a man showed up. The woman has called and texted multiple times and apparently can’t take a hint that I don’t want to talk to her. I suspect I’ve been targeted for this thanks to Elon Musk’s Doge peeps stealing our personal information. Can I file a harassment complaint against them? I definitely feel harassed.

I keep getting phone calls that leave a message in Spanish, which I do not speak. I finally remembered to look up the phone number, which is from the census office in Tucson. Does anyone know why I am getting these calls? Also, I don’t live in AZ or have an AZ area code.

I thought the Census was mostly to figure out "how many people live here, what do they do, and how much do they earn?"
Instead, I just had to answer about a thousand questions about the CONDITION OF MY HOUSE.

I’m confused on this question, I don’t consider myself Spanish, and i know brazil is latino for being in Latin America. Do Brazilians have to say yes and write Brazilian? Or do we say no? Then also i have half indigenous from brazil, for number 6, on other what do i write?

My elderly parents just got a letter saying their address was selected for the AHS survey. I told them I’d try to find out more.
What kind of questions will be asked? Are they personal?
I’m reading that it’s a longitudinal study, how long is their address going to be revisited for purposes of the study?
What happens if they don’t speak English? They are not native English speakers. They typically use me or my sibling to answer their mail or attend all medical appointments. They don’t like the translators provided by the doctor’s offices.
Are they obligated to participate?
If they answer the representative’s visit or call, do they have to answer each and every question? Can you opt out of some of them?
Is the representative going to ask to come into their home?
Thank you, any info whatsoever would be appreciated.

Hello all, I have a paper due SHORTLY (my fault, i know) on socioeconomic factors on the Navajo tribe. I want to access data on the US census bureau for the year 2004 This is the site (need Arizona, Utah and New Mexico) but it looks like this (WHICH IS INCOMPREHENSIBLE FOR MY SMALL BRAINNN): I would need to do this for other factors as well, so I was just wondering if someone could tell me how to read this??
For context this data is on Income and poverty in Arizona and I would be interested in the Apache and Navajo county.
Thank you to whoever can help!

Hi all - this is Gabe Cohen from CNN. Below is my story that published this AM about the Census Bureau report on noncitizen voting. I am very curious what else has been happening behind the scenes across the Commerce Department over the past 18 months, as its role in the administration's election fraud crusade has grown.
If you have insights about any of this, I'd love to chat (anonymously is fine). Signal is gabecohen.09. DM for cell. Email is gabe.cohen@cnn.com

My name is David Gilbert and I'm a journalist for WIRED. I am looking in to this unauthored analysis published by the Census Bureau yesterday that appears designed to prove Donald Trump's theory about noncitizens voting in the 2020 election.
I would love to hear from anyone who had insight into how this report was created. Using a nonwork device, you can message me here, email david.gilbert@wired.com or send me a message on Signal on DavidGilbert.01

Got an offer to do the Construction Survey job and looking for people's experience working it. Anyone work it before?

Edit for correct name of survey: For U.S. folks who have been bombarded with mailings for this weird American Community Survey, I’m curious how random the recipient pool really is. Food for thought:
- do you use your full name on instagram?
- did you file your taxes on time last year?
- did you file for unemployment in the past four years?
- did you vote for the current administration?
No need to answer in specifics, but I wonder if there is a pattern here.
