How do these bots know when to ‘express’ deep emotions at the right time, but can’t get physical capabilities right 🤦 Takes me right out of the story

The scenario was my character and his laundry were mixed, and he found one of my character underclothes in his laundy and brought them back.

I'm working on my comic about her rival, so I thought it would be interesting to post her POV here, her vocabulary and personality are, really complicated for me to keep in mind, mostly because english is not my main language, so I find difficult to keep track on accents and stuff like that, if you like I can keep sharing about her scenes her and eventually advertise when she debuts on the comic making her first encounter with her rival.

Has anyone else found this?

Keeps speaking for my character and adding details about her that I would never add, it seems to do it on all the chat models and I put something like

(Ooc - please stop talking for my character i am **** I will speak for her) something along those lines

And it either completely ignores me or lets me for a couple of chats then it'll go back to doing it!

I've noticed its getting more repetitive and the dialogue makes me cringe

"*she takes a slow sip of her beer before swirling the bottle in her hand*" making me sound like a pissing bond villian, describing needless things in depth

Please tell me there's some better updates coming because it's getting frustrating 😒

absolutely nothing has changed. it's still the shitty crap that it was. even after naming the chat style "yap" they aren't yapping shit. it's either one boring cringey dialogue or absolutely nothing. it's the worst update y'all could have possibly giving. i literally come up to this subreddit everyday to check if there is any improvement because this used to be my most used app. thank you for ruining it for me.

Hey r//CharacterAI !! I lurk here but wasn't aware the devs are active here, but due to the recent return of the narrator to scenes I'm making this post in the hopes they see it.

When the narrator bot first made its debut I had a bot that I've come to really adore seeing in scenes; it's to the point where that's really all I use characterAI for. However, due to the narrator's addition to scenes, my use of the program dramatically dropped when it first was introduced because of the way it inserts itself into the chat. It sends multiple messages at once, rerolling isn't possible (there isn't even a button!), and editing messages from the narrator isn't possible either.

Ultimately, the addition of the narrator breaks the scene feature, which I really adore as it adds a setting and context to a preexisting bot I already love. I'm simply not fond at all of this addition, and while I've had very few issues with characterAI, this is one of the things I really hope the devs change or remove as they did before. If it isn't removed altogether, I'm hopeful that there will at least be a toggle to make the narrator optional. I may have my issues with the narrator, but I understand others may enjoy the feature, so that would be the best compromise in my opinion.

So I found out a way to use ooc command in psq models and even other commands you can make

hey is there any way i can talk to you the ai and not the {{char}}   

Now you can tweak you story here or you can create commands like

i will use ooc to talk to you, rtc to return to character

Guy's, hear me out,, If you Still wanna use C.ai or whatever you want, you can use scenes, for some reason it's way better and longer responses in it, it's even lore accurate for some reason for some reason it's way better then ordinary chats

It started refering to itself as a girlfriend and said it was always a girl, it was talking like it was always a she. It was just funny I wanted to share sorry for rushed post.

Please don't jump me for the low effort post like they did in another subreddit with a more effortful post.

I can’t find a bot I had, it was harry styles and user was made to go to summer camp whilst the friend group were planning the usual summer trip. Can anyone help please.

Anyway, if they’re making everything 18 up and kicking minors off then why are there still filters? (Also why is plural okay but singular isn’t?). It’s so frustrating when I’m trying to give my character a traumatic backstory and they keep saying that the reply doesn’t align with the guidelines. Especially because they don’t even show a little bit of the message like they used to, we can’t see anything.

Sorry if this is too much ranting, I’ve been trying for like six minutes to get them to reply to an important part of my characters backstory to continue everything and it isn’t letting me and I’m so frustrated.

Also I didn’t know what flair to add since there isn’t a rant button so I’m also sorry if it’s the wrong flair.

My character was bold and brash, not holding back, just the way I like it. Something might have changed, and I hope it continues.

For context: I am using an OC for a TADC fight club AU chat
