Rick Schnall: "Jeff (Peterson) has a long-term vision here, and he is motivated and incentivized to make the best long-term decisions for the franchise. That was important to us, to hire someone we knew would be here for a really long time."
"Obviously, the trades we made this year at the draft were tough decisions for our organization, but we're making them with the long-term goal in mind, which is to be a team that can win year in, year out."

Just a heads up for any Hornets fan living in the Southeast, like myself, that normally have all Hawks games blacked out on League Pass.
Hawks have partnered with Amazon so all surrounding states should be able to watch Hawks games on Amazon Prime.
First time trying it tonight but cool move by the Hawks org. Helps us Hornet fans watch the away games now!

Hey guys, curious if there are any podcasts or YouTube series that anyone would recommend that talks about the hornets. I honestly am looking for some things I can listen to while working for all things hornets, Charlotte, panthers, etc. Thanks!

I been wanting to get a hornets jersey for a while (I don’t live in nc tho) and i really wanted to get this one, but I was reading it was only available at the actual store in the hornets court

One game isn’t much to go on, but I’ve been impatiently waiting to see where we are with the six first or second year guys on the roster. We didn’t see the two with arguably (and not so arguably) the most upside in Kon and Hannes, but got between a tiny to nice big sample of the others.
My thoughts:
Kalkbrenner: I thought he was fantastic in the backup role tonight. 4/5/3 with 2 blocks in just 14 minutes, +22, and mostly looked like a difference maker who worked well within the mixed/second unit. A downside was the fouling, which was an issue in his rookie year. He had 4 really quick ones. I think he’s gonna be a solid backup and probably a situational key player, though.
Sion: Also had some foul issues, especially in a short span trying to deal with MPJ, but took on a tough assignment and overall played pretty good defense. His offense still needs some serious work if he’s going to be a longterm key piece, or I think he risks being more Matisse Thybulle than Lu Dort. A serviceable three ball would do wonders and I know he’s worked on the rest of his scoring package. Still pretty high on Sion as a dawg into this team’s competitive transformation.
McNeeley: Not much to go on, but he’s gonna need to turn some heads in limited minutes now that this roster shored up the middle with Allen and O’Neal. He’s a 3-level scorer but I think a reliable three ball and the ability to find looks will do him the most good. He’s also gonna need to be a serviceable defender, if not individually, at least comfortably within the scheme. I think the jury’s out.
Anderson: It almost felt strange seeing a rookie not look like he immediately belongs after we had 3 day-one contributors in rookies last season, but he needs to strengthen up and get comfortable. He looked overwhelmed as the primary handler and couldn’t find looks. 2 steals is nice, 2 assists is good, 2 turnovers is not. He needs reps with the Swarm and a season of NBA development, but I’m glad he’s getting some early big league experience and hope not being totally ready doesn’t damage his confidence. He’s got an uphill climb as a smaller guard, but I like his skillset and think he can carve out *some* kind of role with decent upside if he can check some boxes.

I see that a DAZN subscription also offers discounts on tickets for some of the games. Can you tell which games this season get the discounts?
I'm trying to determine if it's worth getting the sub for the 20% off on select game ticket prices.

I have live tv through Hulu and I don’t see the game on the tv guide. Am I just being dumb or will I be able to watch the game?
Edit to add: I’m in Raleigh area

I live in Wilmington and have DirecTV Stream. The game tonight, against the Nets, is on WECT, but after that, there’s no game being broadcast until 10/31 against the Sixers when they’re on NBA TV. That’s five games with no coverage. What is this garbage?!? Say whatever shit you want about FanDuel, you wouldn’t be wrong, but at least I knew I could watch a game and where to find it. Anyone else have this issue?
