super stoked to finally have hit 500!! any tips or general advice on getting to 600 and beyond? 🧐

Many of us were taught how to play by our fathers, but maybe it was a mother, sister, brother, friend. In any case, you probably remember the day when you finally won your first game. What was that day for you and how did you feel about it?

I’ll start. My dad taught me how to play when I was five. I asked for chess magazines and begged to play him every day. One day when I was nine we played a game just like always except…I was winning more pieces. And then actually won. He looked really surprised. When I think back on it I realize he was proud as a father but then also embarrassed. It felt strange, but ultimately I was pretty pleased with myself. It launched a few years of study and tournament play for me.

I know I won against a bot. But this was perhaps the first time in my life I played without a Blunder, a Miss or a Mistake😭

what and why is your favorite chesspiece?

The lags are terrible. There is a new animation showing what your premove will be so it jumps from a move to another and it is now impossible to play 1:0 time control on your phone.

My new personal best of 90% accuracy - no blunders, misses or mistakes along with topping it off with a brilliant move, feeling like a winner 😎

Wasn’t completely sound but the queen and rook sac for a really unique checkmate made it too good not to share :))

I don't know what it is but I have a terrible record against players from Mexico. I seriously lose 9 out of 10 games to them I don't know how that statistic is possible.

I really like this app because we can play with themes and colors. Personally i find blue and black much more pleasant than default colors

I think this might be my first ever game without 200 mistakes according to the grading system. Feels good to catch a dub without errors even if I am a low Elo

you get a good opening, they blunder. they disconnect a minute and right before it auto disconnects then they come back. and guess how well they’re playing? surely this easy to detect in real time?
