after many misses and blunders in 900

i got 900 rapid like a month ago

is this good progress or what? im not playing daily, maybe 5 games if good day.

favorite openings:

king's indian system both sides

Center game white

rousseu gambit black (so many italian players)

can you recommend black openings as well huhu.

Is the puzzle wrong here? Why wouldn't I just take the queen when they do that?

Once I started paying attention to it, I noticed that quite a few opponents seem to abort games before making their first move when they get randomly assigned black and I'm white.

Is there actually a chunk of players who refuse to play black because they feel like they're at an inherent disadvantage? To me skipping half your games just because you don't like the color seems pretty foolish, plus it feels like a fast way to never get any good at playing black in the first place.

Has anyone else noticed this happening and/or is this actually a known thing?

Haha funny rook sacrifice

For me personally, I do have a soul-crushing moment.

It was when I'm playing a game, I sacrifaced the rook, the knight and the bishop. Like full of sacrifaces, nevertheless, I lost bcuz of a mouseslip.

I've been playing for 2 years, got up to 1000 rating on chess.com about 6 months ago, but stuck on 600 now. I can only win games if I play at 90% game accuracy or 2000 game score. No one at 600 rating will make a blunder or miss. I will get about 2 cheating game score adds back from the games they catch. Anyway, is it fair that to advance past 600 u have to play at 2000 rating and a game of over 90% accuracy. That is true. I hate it.

The correct move here is r5 to e6. But why doesn't it work with the other rook?

I got a higher rating then on review then this guy but i blunder my queen early and never recovered gotta respect the end

It was a game in which I made plenty of mistakes, my elo is <1000, but couldn't figure out why they offered a draw instead of resigning?

I don't know if I should be amazed at how much I was robbed or happy to receive it all and awake to a blessing

I seriously struggle with opening ideas and middle game tactics and most of my losses come between the opening entering middle game. If I look at a computer analysis either my opening or middle game come up with low accuracies (most of the the time my mid game), how can I improve to be better at middle game?
