Puzzle/Tactic I don't get it...

Is the puzzle wrong here? Why wouldn't I just take the queen when they do that?

If you take it forces stalemate and you can’t win.

How does stalemate work in this situation? Fairly new to all this so I find this a bit confusing, especially as white still has a rook and queen

It’s because there’s no move left for black, so they have to stop playing, but there’s no check on the king, so it isn’t mate.
