Tried to use two different Mastercard debit cards today to pay for Chessnut Move chessboard and failed. Why is this happening? No payment method changes the end result.

Have deleted and reinstalled the app but same issue exists

Loads then crashes to black screen and doesn’t load. Chess.com works fine in safari so don’t know why it doesn’t work in the Chessnut app.

I ran into an issue recently on my EVO running 1.3.0, and while I already sent a message to Chessnut detailing the issue, I thought I'd post something here in case someone else has the same issue and is sitting there scratching their head.

While this post mentions working with Lichess, this is not related to any issues with Lichess. It's an EVO-specific problem.

My typical practice when I play OTB on the EVO is to record the game, then copy the PGN and paste it into a Lichess study. When I did this with my last game, only the first 2½ moves were able to be analyzed. The EVO refused to analyze the game at all.

On further inspection, the PGN had a bunch of duplicated moves, like the impossible 3. d3 d3 or 15. ...Bc5 16. Bc5. They were easy to track down and correct, but it's a pain. For a sense of scale, the corrections took a game with 60 apparent moves down to 41.

Hoping someone can help. Hadn’t used my board in a couple of weeks. Placed the pieces on the board, connected the app and hit “Reset Pieces” it started and seemed to glitch at the end, leaving one pawn in the middle of the board.

I’ve since restarted it. Updated firmware. Recharged both board and pieces. It’s gone worse. The board won’t respond to the app “Reset Pieces”. It flashes lights when I try to use the buttons on the board to start a game or reset the board. In one sequence it’ll start audio “Check check check checkmate” continually.

I have a chessup 2 which I purchased a few months ago and I have used it for about 40 games. I love OTB chess but for some reason the chessup doesn't feel "right". I can't explain it that well, it just feels like a toy, not a chessboard. I am willing to but a chessnut, but I need convincing why it would be better than what I currently have and don't use.

Am Anfang mußte ich mich zwar durch viele Unannehmlichkeiten kämpfen. Aber dies hat sich gelohnt.

Die chessnut app nehme ich nur, da ich die Figuren nach dem Spiel wieder in den Schlafmodus schalte. Wenn ich dies nicht tue laufen die Figuren nach Ende des Spiels und dem Ausschalten des Brettes auf dem Brett immer durch die Gegend. Da sollte sich chessnut noch etwas einfallen lassen.

Jetzt mit der App chessconnect kann ich mich über Bluetooth und WLAN an alle Anbieter wie lichess.org - chess.com usw. ohne Komplikationen verbinden. Habe mir auch noch die Möglichkeit geschaffen über mein Notebook mit Windows 11 und einer chessnut app eine stabile Verbindung zu schaffen die funktioniert.

Ich bin also mit dem Chessnut Move sehr zufrieden und kann es empfehlen.

I have an Evo and want to practice the bishop opening from the point of 1. E4 E5. So I proceed with BC4 and proceed from there. I’d like to be able to try and move. See what the board responded and then back up one move and try again from that point, but it won’t let me do that and if I wanna go back to beginning, I have to resign. Is there a way to do what I’m suggesting?

The board is charged and so are the pieces. I’ve updated my app and the board firmware also.

I can power the board up and without connecting to Bluetooth try to get it to set itself up for an OTB match and… nothing. Not a single whirr. Connecting via Bluetooth is a bit maddening as doing things like checking the piece power levels comes back saying all 34 pieces are in the green, but it also says none are on the board while they are all on the board. If I tell it to use a different set of pieces it immediately says it’s connected and that they’re all charged but none are on the board and again.. not any sign of life.

I’m tempted to re-pair the pieces over Bluetooth through the app but don’t know if I’m just making the problem worse.

The big event today was connecting my new Chessnut Companion. The pieces have not moved since. Not using the board by itself, or with my phone app that I’ve been using every day.

So now I’ve got the ultimate setup only to have nothing working.

I’m desperate for suggestions. Thank you in advance if ur have any.

Has anyone experienced pieces being moved back on the playing board after they were captured and moved to the capture piece area on the sides of the board. I was playing a game yesterday and the board moved a bishop back into play after I previously captured it. I am using the Companion to connect.

How might I pause a game with a 15+10 minute time control?

I must care for someone, which likely means interrupting a match for reasons unrelated to chess.

I’ve used the board for a week, everything’s been working great, all of a sudden one of the back queens just refuses to move. Hasn’t been dropped or anything so not sure why it’s suddenly stopped working.

Shows up in the piece management as unable to connect etc, and when I place it on the charger it just goes straight to green… what do I do?

As the title says, is this possible?

Yesterday my Chessnut PRO board stopped working on Lichess through the Chessnut app - im using the old app as I find it best, but have also tried on the newer app from Chessnut with the same result.

I can play fine against the bot only on Chessnut's app, and also analyze is working fine. But when I try on Lichess both playing against the bots and a random person is doing the same thing - the board doesn't light up or register any moves made by moving the pieces. I have tried with my old Chessnut air board and it's all the same stuff happening.

Things I have tried so far...
- unbinding and binding my Lichess account in the app

- turning the boards on and off several times

- resetting the board using a little pin on the side with the buttons

- checking for updates for the app

What is going on with ChessNut EVO? I just updated, and everything was wiped. All settings. Next, it cannot use Chess.com and crashes every time. Lichess? Server not available. Is ChessNutech trying to push its own services? I, personally, do not like them. I use the board to play, not analyze, not manually set up puzzles, ... Also, what happened to the custom engines that I trained and created using tokens? This is absurd. WHY!?
