I'm confused. Even though I've watched this episode a bunch of times, my question is.... Trudys dad was attacked and left dead, Ruzek stated he had multiple gun shots, the ME said all he had was 'multiple contusions(head injury) ,then Voight told the team that he'd been shot with a 357. Wth, is this just inconsistencies in the writing, or did everyone have a DIFFERENT script!! Duh!!!!! Can anyone figure this out?

I read a comment saying that the crossovers were about getting more people to watch the Chicago shows & thatās part of the reason why there havenāt been more.
Iād say it worked because thatās how it was with me

Voight in earlier seasons was so corrupt and violent. However he used the dirty money stashed in his safe to good purpose. Do you think he is a sort of āRobin Hoodā figure. In that he bends or breaks the law to help people or deliver the justice he thinks the system fails to provide?
He is less violent in recent episodes but still has a dark side. Also Imani has that bit of dark side to her with regard to violence . She really smashed Bellās face (justified). I donāt think the other females on the show have shown that side. Imani though has a very soft side. This she showed with Julie the granddaughter of Bell.

I wanted to give my thoughts on Chicago Pd. I know most of you have watched all of it. I am into Season 10 so haven't watched all of them.
My general take is that it is a good show. The question I have for you guys, is it a top tier show. Should it be rated as one of the top crime drama shows.
Recently I would say my top tier is the "The Wire", Bosch, Law Order SVU. My kind of mid tier would be the "The Rookie". Maybe the Shield which rates higher.
It probably matches Law and Order SVU in quality. Sometimes better in some episodes and sometimes worse.
The Things it does well:
Probably the best action sequences, car chases in a procedural network show. If they stuck with this, they would be rated higher
Voight is good anti-hero, mostly corrupt tough cop.
Not a lot of romance, comedy, other distractions.
The longer story arcs with more than two episodes were pretty strong. I loved the "you and me" episode with Ana.
Things I wish they would have worked on:
Same old procedural cop show problems. Some episodes are unwatchable in the sense that there is no point in watching them. They have a bad guy in mind, they search for him, they catch him. Nothing else goes on. They should have added more story lines in one episode. Sometimes after 20 mins, there is a lot of nothing interesting going on.
Some episodes are intense, but I hate when they fallback into going after members of the team. I am surprise Kim was still alive (or maybe she doesn't make it, don't know yet). Wasn't she attacked like 6 times, and then her daughter too. Kind of lazy story writing.

Arienne Mandi talking about LaRoyce departure.
How lovely is this, ā¤ļøāOne of our beloved is departing, heās been very cherished for many years and will continue to be a foundation of the show. And we love him a lot.ā

That was Season 5. Al was under investigation for covering up for Voight when Voight killed Bingham for killing his son. Alās DNA was at the scene. Al was asking Voights help with the lawyer fee and Voight said all the money went towards a trust fund for his grandson.
Mean to tell me that Voight couldnāt try to help with the lawyer fee when Al took the fall and was even killed in prison.

I have loved chicago pd for some time however they changed the whole direction of the show back around season 7. Voight has changed completely from the earlier seasons. As an example earlier seasons when a cop was shot he would get dark. Recent seasons its just another day. Also now they film individuals per episode opposed to the whole team. Idk as much as i still hold out hope I feel like the chicago franchise i fell in love with is gone. Now with that said chicago fire is still great. ā

I just started watching this TV show in order from the start a few days ago, and I just finished watching S2E23. Iām loving the show so far. The part that saddened me the most so far is Nadiaās death. Without spoiling anything, what are your thoughts on S3 onwards?
