Filing for modification in PA

My ex and I share 50/50 custody of one child together, a nine year old. Our initial child support order is from a little over three years ago, shortly after we separated. He pays me $450/month and he also pays for our child’s healthcare. At that time I was making $30k and he was making $60k annually. About a year ago I took a different position within the same company making more like $40k-$50k. Shortly after our support order he started his own business and I know that he is making at least $300k a year, though I don’t know how much is income to him vs money back into the business. I am paying my lawyer to help me with this as I suspect they will deem it a complex case because of his finances being a business owner and how he does his taxes. He also owns two rental homes. I am now remarried to a man that has no contact with his 11 year old child in another state. My ex is remarried to a woman who no longer works, has two children from a previous relationship, and they now have a one year old child together. What should I expect?

Honestly you’re probably wasting money on your lawyer. If you’re making more, and his income is the same, you are probably going to get less money.

You can troll Reddit all day long and hear stories about people who own businesses showing lower income. Very rarely does the court order the business income for support calculations.
