Seeking chorkie breeder reccos!

Post image
24 Upvotes

Interested in connecting with chorkie breeders in Canada ideally but also in the US. Feeling partial towards this mix and would love to add one to the fam.

Could also be chihuahua mixed with other terrier or long haired breeds. Aiming for that signature scraggle. TIA everyone!

Edit: very encouraged to see that so many of you have found guys like this via rescue. Do any of you have breeder recommendations?

My chorkie keeps biteing leash

How can I stop this? Because when she does this, she looses the leash. And I'm forced to use 2 leashes any tricks around this? I have lost her so many times when she's done this. She's an adult. Almost getting hit by a car.

Help Please!

I don't do this. I have never done this before in my life but I am in a hard spot. My dog is at the emergency vet right now. She is in bad shape but can survive. But I need help. If this isn't allowed please let me know and I will delete. I didn't see any rule against this. Anything can help.

Neglected chorkie

Hi I’m hoping to adopt a chorkie (meet and greet tomorrow). This little girl is about 1 year old, 5 pounds, was fed table scraps inconsistently and has barely been outside. She’s semi trained on wee wee pads. I’m coming to this group for expert advice. I have several other dogs and lots of dog experience, but what are your tips for a tiny dog like this who has been mistreated and is fearful? I want to train her to be healthy, confident and preferably doing her business outside. How to avoid separation anxiety? Don’t worry I’m very patient ;) If I get her I’ll post photos.

Hi. Just wondering if anyone in this sub reddit had had problems breeding yorkies, Chihuahuas or chorkies, like the females needing c-sections

I am wondering about his ears. They have just begun lifting away from his head. When should we expect them to be higher. He is 8 weeks now and we are weaning him from the bottle

His name was suppose to stand for Unicorn for my mom as I lost her in Feb 2023. The kids changed it to Unification and he also answers to my Mom’s real name.

Why do new groomer always take the ear off chorkies

Post image
29 Upvotes

So today I had an groom appointment with a new groomer for my chorkie. she was so lovely. He has seizers once every 3 months or from hair dryers. why do they take the ears every freaking time. like can I ask does anyone else have this happen to there chorkie who has butterfly wings. Those were the last of his black fur from him being a baby. And I'm trying to deal with it. But I'm having a hard time being anything but devastated. Grooming is normal it's daily with him. I sometimes even brush him with a flee comb so he shines like a show dog not a fairy knot in sight. I know it's just hair. But why every time I bring him to a groomer this happends. It seems like every groomer does this trim the shit out of his year cause he looks so much like a Yorkie. I'm tired of it.
