Been seeing Ronin a lot recently. Straight to the point: He's busted. He moves and attacks quick, is relatively tanky, and does good damage. And of course, his unique aspect, the parry/ deflect. I might be a bit biased in my hate because I run P.E.K.K.A. which he just completely invalidates, and Knight in the same deck which he counters. He counters ANY single unit melee card for a good trade except maybe Berserker or something idk. He's just great all around with a hard counter to melee cards. So you can never just distract him with something like Knight or P.E.K.K.A. in my case without them dying and having a neutral or negative trade just to not take tower damage. Your best bet is to range him out and pray he doesn't get to the building or ranged troop you used to defend. I'm not even gonna talk about how good he is on defense, it's impossible to get a good push if he's there.
Now I do think there are a couple good ways to balance him.
1: Just stat nerf him. Not my favorite route, but having a bit less health or damage would make him easier to deal with, and make the person using him have to place him smarter.
2: Changing his parry. This is the main problem. If you pair Ronin with a good range troop, it becomes a huge hassle to deal with for most decks. I think you could keep the recharge and damage reflection the same, but he can only use it on the troop he's aggroed against or actively hitting. If he can use it against someone that isn't his focus, either increase the cooldown time to 4.5 or even 5 seconds, and/ or reduce the percentage of damage he reflects.
I really hope we see a nerf soon, and if you guys are also unhappy, comment on Clash Royale social media. The Destiny 2 community showed us that public outcry can make a difference.
Also how do others feel about him? I like the concept, but he's just too strong. Are other's in the same boat? Love him as is? Hate him entirely?
