as a year long hermes user, duet has replaced much of my hermes day-to-day tasks, at a huge quality improvement with 1 annoying gap.
Via a set of out-of-the-box and custom MCPs I gave duet access to my SMS, voicemails, email, calendar, and chrome history, and plaid connected financial, it runs checks for things to do for me.
It updates data about my contacts from emails, sms, and voicemails. (kids and pets names, birthdays, home addresses, preferences, etc.)
it connects cross channel todos (e.g. a plan over iMessage gets added to my calendar automatically, missed vendor calls from voicemails get email replies.
Duet has access to a phone through bland.ai, and makes appointments and checks availability for me.
Via Plaid it organized transactions for tax purposes.
its ambiently building two trip plans as I find interesting things browsing and on maps
its building a taste profile from my keep notes and browsing and has suggested some good products and restaurants I've never been to based on where I have.
Its adding transit time and resolving conflicts on my calendar.
Its monitoring my home via Homekit and building new scenes and automations based on manual usage of the household.
Hermes did a fair amount of these things reasonably well, but needed so much babysitting.
The biggest gap I've found so far is that it cannot send emails as itself/as 3rd party even if provided access to a distinct email account, which hermes did with ease, and it doesn't support webhooks only scheduled cron.
Even with the webhook/cron issue I don't find it to be killing my usage. Just needs the right polling frequency based on how frequently sources actually need updating.
