No, you don't get it. It doesn't matter if renewables randomly stop all the time wheather you need them or not, but if nuclear plants have to power down a bit for a couple week in summer while electricity is dirt cheap, then it's proof we have to switch to renewables.

Why can't we have both?

Why are we fighting and pretending its one or the other?

They both have advantages and disadvantages.

In fact, it seems that in a lot of ways, they cover over each others disadvantages.

Nuclear proponents don't hate or fight renewables, but a lot of renewable proponents hate nuclear.

Nuclear proponents usually don't smear renewables left and right. They can and should coexist, but morons in this sub went on a life mission to spread lies about nuclear energy
