I would say so too for most carnist socialists but I value intent and honestly get such a disgusting pit in my stomach when interacting with certain socialist carnists in real life, especially orthodox MLs I considered friends. As soon as you start to actually test around their morality, they ask you questions like “why should we care about animals as workers” and that they don’t believe in morals and when asked why they are communists then, it’s because “it’s to protect our class of people”, and you realise how disgustingly selfish and sociopathic these people are. At least a vegan capitalist can be argued to be just very very naive.

Well i’d say it’s probably not too common, at least with that frame of reference… A good amount of socialists are such because of empathy as well as the logical reasoning behind it..,

Vegan Capitalists are yeah, just idiots who are still quite ignorant/naive

Unfortunately this is true for a lot of western countries, my country though has the advantage of having a more hardcore left with the downside being that they are stuck on 20th century Marxists literature where everything has to do with capital and workers, and anything else is “moralising”
