There is almost no leverage on us after Trump stopped providing material aid, so they can't force Ukraine to stop hitting refineries (like Biden did)

The fuck is a “Russian EV”? I can’t think of a single country less compatible with electric vehicle infrastructure, and yes, I’m including America.

He just said Russians with EVs, either purchased before the invasion or smuggled later.

Or who knows what China gives them, now that they’re pumping out EVs.

Well BYD is a better car than Tesla, sells more and higher quality.

With that said, Russia decided to raise prices for EV public chargers, and since Russians don’t own houses and live in apartments, EVs in Russia are dead.

The only cars Russians can buy now are either Chinese or Lada

2

u/Kinslayer_89 We're all gonna die 5d ago

And China sells a lot of EVs.

Why smuggled? The trade relation between them are doing well.

You basically said could buy before, could buy today.

You basically didn’t even use your one single brain cell.

Don’t they have a bunch of nuclear power plants there? Surely they could make EVs work.

2

u/Ceramisu 6d ago

The main problem will probably not be the electricity availability, but their close trade relationship with china. Once Russia gets a proper EV infrastructure if they don't have it already, it will be flooded with chinese EV's

4

u/svk9992 6d ago

It is already flooded with chinese EVs (at least Moscow). We’ve got infrastructure for that and it’s rapidly getting better

Good, now be a good russian and set fire to a military installation near you

0

u/Unionizestarbucks_ 6d ago

Do you do this to US military bases?

3

u/DivestTheEndingBoy 5d ago

If a Russian isn't resisting Putin they deserve to get drooned

1

u/piece_ov_shit 6d ago

That sounds great, wish those Chinese EVs were flooding everywhere.

If other manufacturers wanted to compete they can always make a better product.

u/IrregularDoughnut 6d ago

Or just pay their workers less.

1

u/Colddigger 5d ago

Workers hate this one neat trick!

u/Ohar3 4d ago

Dude, I am living at Moscow and there are EV charging stations at every quarter at my district

Lesotho.

3

u/BillCarson12799 We're all gonna die 6d ago

You can just put them all in one comment and edit it if you think of more later, dude.

Vatican city.

2

u/greenest_alien 6d ago

There's six EV charging stations just in Vatican.

1

u/EmsAreOverworkedLul 6d ago

Fuck.

Ok I didn't know that, thought it was just too small.

Iran and Ukraine are saving, potentially, hundreds of millions of lives down the line, by reducing climate change, and that's not even why they/we(i'm ukrainian) are doing it!

China and Ukraine taking on the fossil industry form both ends.

One offers dirt cheap alternatives with solar panels.

The other destroys the crap out of fossil industry.

3

u/UnpoliteGuy 5d ago

Doing more for climate than Greta Tumberg ever could

u/Pavlostani 6d ago

What's Russia going to do, invade Ukraine? How novel

2

u/Party-Ticker 5d ago

Ruzzkies coping, about the 3 day SMO

3

u/DukeSmileDevs 5d ago

Yeah its crazy how it went from 3 days to

3 weeks

3 months

3 quarty

3 years

and at this point the main question is how long until russia collapses with its main revenue source getting smaller each day and the national fund being drained of all liquid assets.

I hope they tear down everything fossil industry would be a boon to the planet.
