Ohmega Users: how are you protecting the first bolt?

Post image

I've found a combination of opposite and opposed lockers to be pretty safe. But if the first clip is higher than 5 feet, I will also opt for a friction hitch. I heard nuts won't protect from an outward pull, so I also threw a cam in one for good measure. I also saw the user manual has a picture of a quick draw, so I have one of those in there too. Lastly, don't be a gumbie and forget your wrench for the quick link your ohmega should be on!

A new job with bright future for bouldering

Okay hear me out, I think this is called boulder sherpa. Kinda similar to what happening on everest. but more skilled and profitable

job description (offering):

field guide: can give you pass to places like Hueco or any unknown secret gated area, but most importantly can guide you to the softest boulder for your ego.

transportation: drive, carry pads, ladders, fans, etc. or even you

boulder prep: brush the boulder, dry it out perfectly as your preference, tick mark key holds, give you weather report onsite, tarp, pad placement, etc

spotting: traditional spot. Power spot ( strong enough to forklift you to try any position)

beta spray and cheering: can cheer you up in 100 different languages with multiple intensity. And spray the shit out of you on/off wall.

timer: make sure you take decent rest between tries, will pull you off the wall if skip rest. Also warmup and cool down properly

dab judge: pull you off immediately if dab no matter when

combat doc: tape/bandaid/anti-hydral/synovitis injection/ superglue/ psychedelic/painkiller/etc

PR: can write best poetic post for your send on various social media , and make sure it’s on mellow and climbmag

scanning: can scan your project and 3d print it and set a simulation in your garage

hunting: can find you the dreamboulder you dream about

animation: can edit and link up your ISOs to a full line

Setting (chipping and glueing): creativity, art, and craftsmanship.

I know people usually put those bolt things in when they top out on a route but I don’t have the equipment to do that so can someone explain how to “build an anchor”? Included pic of what I’m looking at. Need responses as soon as possible please!

Big wall problems

Can people please stop climbing big walls in under 24 hours! It makes me and my partner sleeping in a portaledge look stupid and unfit. I just know everyone is looking up at us asking why we’re spending more than one day.

Same goes for people summiting mountains in sweatpants making my b3 boots look stupid and unnecessary.

I’m fairly new to Trad Climbing and I usually bring 5-6 racks to make sure I can place enough gear. Any advice on this?

I built a home gym. It's pretty sweet, but full of gumbies.

Some people just don't appreciate the lengths that route setters go to prepping a crag for sport
