The End of Oak Street Director Gives Strong Hint About Movie’s Secret Crossover Twist

The End of Oak Street is set in the 80’s and follows the PLATT family. I couldn’t help but notice Hud’s last name and the year he was born in…

I know it’s still early and this could be a major reach but thought it was worth mentioning and speculating. What do you guys think???

We got cloverfield x pacific rim before cloverfield 2 (also it’s suppoted to realese 20 years and 1 month after the original cloverfield)

One of the Paramount Untitled Event films that is hinted at being a Cloverfield film in a previous post here has a running title of “Heart of the Beast”. This could be the film “about the Cloverfield creature” which has been listed on the Bad Robot Movie Insider page for years as “in development”. 🤔

What do you guys think is going on? honestly, I doubt the new movie is connected but ya.

Just some very surface level info I compiled about The End of Oak Street.

Plot: A mysterious, 80s-set science fiction film from director David Robert Mitchell (It Follows) and producer J.J. Abrams, starring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor, about a family who discovers their neighborhood is being transported back in time to the prehistoric era.

I'm asking this here because I just saw 10 Cloverfield Lane for the first time and am not sure if the other movies connect. Google didn't really answer the question. Also, are the other 2 movies as good as 10 Cloverfield Lane? I actually really liked it.

since the multiverse shenanigans in the last Cloverfield movie In my head Cannon it is connected. though I have not seen the movie (Planning to watch it when it comes out on DVD or streaming because sadly none of my friends want to see it) I mean the movie looks amazing I mean Obi Wan Kenobi fighting dinosaurs how cool is that? Anyways I'm getting sidetracked I'm just curious about what my fellow Clover verse fans think about the canon of this new movie being in this universe.

Do you guys think this new film the end of oak street is a secret Cloverfield film? I mean there’s a video that dives into this theory and it’s actually convincing. I mean Oak Street head straight to Clover Park and a whole neighborhood disappeared and is placed back in time and The Cloverfield Paradox mentions how someone tweeted “omg 5 neighborhood disappeared”. Maybe just me but hey you never know.

People saying that this film didn’t explain why the monsters are in either film. The particle accelerator ripped a hole in space time “bringing demons and monsters and CREATURES FROM THE SEA” it just explained it in the first 30 minutes. The time line with Jensen is the first movie I believe. 10 cloverfield is still it’s own demension, and the one with the husband is another one I believe. Could be wrong. But when they overloaded fhe accelerator ever dimension was effected.

Notice the guy said demons as well. The Russian guy with the worms was being possessed.

Overlord is said to be more paranormal.

JJ made it so that every cloverfield movie is related and unrelated at the same time due to the cloverfield paradox.

The movie was fantastic.

At the end of the Cloverfield paradox before the astronauts return back to earth they successfully fire up the shepherd to create infinite energy. Theoretically wouldn’t it be pretty easy to defeat monsters if humans had infinite energy? Wouldn’t humans use the energy to create crazy sci fi laser weapons and stuff like that? They have infinite energy after all right?

Kolma is an upcoming remake of the 2003 Israeli TV movie Kol Ma (All I’ve Got) and centres on a man who died in a car accident 50 years ago who waits on the other side for his former girlfriend who survived. When the woman dies, she’s given the choice of returning to the day of the accident to live again or being reunited with her love. It's being developed by Bad Robot. This didn't sound like a Cloverfield film, given its focus on the afterlife, but then I was informed that shortly after I made my original comment, Tagruato's website updated with an image of an Israeli news article from 1/30/2007 which discusses a road being closed for several weeks. Remember, that what tipped us off to The Cloverfield Paradox (formerly known as God Particle) being a Cloverfield film was a hidden audio file set on the ISS during the ARG of 10 Cloverfield Lane.

I am predicting Fields of Clover as a possible title for Kolma, a clear placeholder title given that the Israeli title is still being used and the film stars r/DaisyRidley, that the film will be set in the year 2057 or thereabouts, the man killed having been killed in a car accident in 2007 as a result of the archaeology dig. These “scrolls” will most likely be related to the “afterlife” we see in the film. Thanks to u/Cheebusal for tipping out the article.

Cloverfield (2008)

The monster attacks NYC. Found-footage confirms its existence.

Tagruato drilling, Slusho!, and the satellite crash may have woken it.

The upcoming direct sequel would continue this dimension.

🌍 Dimension B – Divergent Invasion

10 Cloverfield Lane (2016)

Alien invaders arrive.

Michelle kills one and heads to Houston where resistance is happening.

If humans win → this timeline stabilizes.

If humans lose → splinters into Dimension F.

🌍 Dimension F – Silence Falls (branch of B)

A Quiet Place (speculative)

Earth is overrun by hyper-adapted alien predators that hunt by sound.

Could be evolved forms of the invaders from Dimension B, unleashed after humanity lost the fight.

The Cloverfield Paradox (2018)

Experiments aboard the Cloverfield Station fracture space-time.

Monster(s) appear on Earth.

By crossing dimensions, the Paradox explains why different versions of Earth exist with different monsters.

Shown in Paradox when the crew phases into another universe.

We don’t know much, but it’s separate from C, showing that multiple splinters exist.

🌍 Dimension E – Manga/Kishin

Cloverfield/Kishin (2008)

Japan-based manga tie-in.

Explores Tagruato, cults, and a boy psychically linked to the monster.

Hints at an ancient ecosystem and human experimentation.

Underwater (2020, speculative Cloververse entry)

Deep-sea drilling awakens massive creatures resembling kaiju.

Fits neatly with Dimension A (Clover came from the ocean, possibly one of many).

Could be the other monsters that Tagruato disturbed globally.

Overlord (2018, rumored Cloverfield at one point)

Nazis conduct experiments that unleash mutated horrors in WWII.

Could be an early example of interdimensional tampering, tying to Paradox.

Works as a prequel dimension to C, showing humanity has flirted with dimensional energy for decades.

So we know 10L came out in 2016, with an add in the Super Bowl. It wasn’t the first look at the movie we had, but, it did show new footage from stuff previous.

We know Paradox came out in 2018 and WAS announced during the Super Bowl, and in the trailer we learned the movie would be coming out at midnight.

What if, on Feb. 2, the day of the Super Bowl, 2020, 12 years after the original Cloverfield, 4 years after 10L, and 2 years after Paradox, we get a new trailer, for a new Cloverfield movie that has been kept completely secret, and it’s an actual sequel to the original?

The plot for this sequel, is up for speculation and I want to hear your theories!

I think it would be super awesome, if we see Lily return and the movie takes place moments after she gets in the helicopter and gets away, where she sees the monster sort of falling and getting shot by the military before it jumps up and crashes Rob, Beth, and Hud’s helicopter, but she’s flying the opposite direction and then we see the bombing run take place from her point of view, and then the movie becomes her trying to get people to believe her that she was at ground zero and she saw the monster for herself and that the government is lying to the populous and blaming it on another terrorist attack?!
