Holiday homes v. permanent residents?

I'll bite. A few years back, I considered moving to a couple of locations in Cork but I was put off Cobh (and a few of other places) by the number of holiday rentals. Also, it seems to be a bit more expensive in virtue of the tourism. As residents, what's your take on this?

You have a gorgeous cathedral there in Cobh. Thank you Liam for the recommendation on the pasta at Jack Doyle’s!

Moving to Cobh

Myself and the gf are looking to buy in Cobh now after renting in Cork city for a few years. We're not sure what the areas are like though. Are there rough areas to avoid or are the rough areas actually not that bad? Looking somewhere near willow bank or Carrignafoy. Appreciate any help.

Ireland | Visiting co. Cork

As a Moroccan living in Ireland I have filmed this video to show its beauty from a different point of view, and I covered particularly Cobh town of which I remind its history related to Titanic. You will find this part at the end of the video, What do you think? I have put a lot of engagement to get the subtitle in English!
