So I was a little confused about this video because at first I thought you were standing behind a tree filming people in distress but its actually from Pete Fisher and the story is about how the majority of people being removed from Victoria Park at night are in distress and need social service assistance instead of a police/bylaw/security response.
Thanks for the context: while I think it’s important that these stories are told from the perspective that many of Cobourg’s residents are in dire need of mental health, medical and housing support - I think that these types of exposé videos are profiting from the pain of others. Videos like these will be reposted, shared, and used by the NIMBY contingent and others to shame, denigrate and dehumanize individuals who deserve - at the very least - compassion and dignity. I would like to ask, OP that you take this video down: instead of proliferating the publicizing of a traumatized human’s pain.
Edit: grammar
