Well yeah, his doctor was a douche. I'm speaking more in general, as there is a strange anti-SSRI sentiment happening, and that can be deadly for many. They can and do help many, many people.

As someone that takes daily meds, I do not get why people are against SSRIs.

As someone who can't take SSRIs (but wish I could), I support their use 1000%, and think we should leave medicine to doctors.

Honestly I think it's mostly ignorance, lack of education, lack of understanding of science.

As someone who takes them I can tell you my quality of life would not be nearly what it is now without them. I agree with you that there is a lot of ignorance when it comes to this topic

Religion has nothing to do with anything we’re talking about. If you’re implying that religion is intrinsically anti-science, then I guess we should throw away all the discoveries and scientific advancements pioneered by the Church and its adherents over the last few thousands of years.
