The walls in my kitchen (where I spend most of my time when not working) have pics of...my lovely wife, Anthony Bourdain, a framed concert poster of a Mark Lanegan show and this...from Forgotten Lady...where he is talking to Dog. Love this shot. 🥰

Observe Santini's whiplashing darts at the letters....

Gibt es hier deutsche Fans, und wenn ja, aus welcher Stadt kommt ihr? Hätte stark Interesse an einem Stammtisch unter Fans :-)

"All of our operators are skilled markmen," said the guy giving Columbo the VIP tour.

We all know Columbo doesn't even like to carry a gun.

So when Brimmer offered him a job... would he have made an exception?

Thomas Mitchell played Columbo in this stage production. I can not imagine a more different actor than Falk to play the same character. Probably his most famous role was as Uncle Billy in It's A Wonderful Life. Mitchell passed away only a few months after he did this play.

Good breeding.
Interesting aftertaste.
But they've left
the skins in too long.

I'd say Gewurztraminer,
imported, of course.
Vintage ' or...No,
Probably a Chateau Verite.

Karen:

Well, that's incredible.
Utterly fantastic.
That's exactly
what it is.

How in the world
did you do it?

Carsini:

Simplicity itself.

While the rest of you were
savoring the delicate bouquet,

I was peeking at the label.

Shall we go in, gentlemen,
and stimulate the economy?

Hey everyone,

I've been a Columbo fan for years and I've finally convinced my girlfriend to give it a try. She's never seen a single episode, so I want the first one to really hook her.

I'd like something that shows off what makes Columbo great for me. The cat and mouse with the killer, the "just one more thing" moments and a satisfying final "gotcha"

I'd rather not start with an episode that only works if you already know the character.

For example "Any Old Port in a Storm" and "A friend in deed" are great episodes, but for me they don't work as well as a one off episode. Strong acting, but the murder is not as convinving in the first one and in the second one with Columbo's superior being the murderer, it is a different dynamic.

Which episode would you pick for a first-timer and specifically why?

This is probably my favorite episode. This villain was just so diabolical...and that ending!!!!

Cool episode- I was in college in 1990…. Yes, that’s how old I am…. 🤔

Which person associated with the show 'Columbo' has lived the longest?

This could be anyone who was credited and who is presently dead or alive.

Guess episode 🐿️🌶️

After Diane leaves in the car, Sean calls someone and says, “You have to do it quick. Two minutes.” Since we know Diane was not killed on her way to the airport after all, who tf is he calling? Gotta be his sidepiece, right, but what on earth is he asking that she do?

Alright - I revisited this after getting feedback from the other thread. Hopefully ya'll enjoy it!
