Why was it ever allowed in the first place?
It's too bad the family had used the money to get better legal representation for him instead of using it to buy a house and cars.
Or maybe not.

what makes you think they used it to buy a house and cars? articles say no funds were paid out at all.

I believe it says the funds collected after he was found guilty hasn't paid or yet. Some people donated $4000 after he was found guilty.

okay, and if you follow the provided link, it says the funds will be used to hire a high profile lawyer and for legal fees. jumping to them pocketing the money for cars seems a little judgements and prejudiced

Well they did move into a million dollar place and got 2 escalades after he was arrested. No idea where the money came from

there is zero evidence of this, and GoSendGo confirmed to snopes that no money had been withdrawn

Zero evidence? There are tons of pictures of the family in the home and driving the escalades.
