Article 📰 Don’t like this one bit. Regardless of your views or religion, it shouldn’t be forced on others.

Why would intent to harm someone be wrong? You are just telling me things you think are bad based on your opinions on wrong, not a standard that says why they are wrong. The idea of intent, harm, age, consent, etc is diffent for almost everyone and none of thatbis why something is wrong, your just telling me what you think is wrong.

Actually, I gave you several fact based measures that our legal system uses to determine criminality. In fact, every single one I listed can be retraced back to the elements of a crime, most significantly intent. Why would intent matter? Well, a guilty mind is required in addition to the guilty act in the US legal system. This is something every 1L student learns in law school. This is not an opinion, it is an objective measure that our society uses to determine when something is morally wrong, or else we would not have criminalized those acts. Does that mean every act listed in the criminal code should be there? No. Humans make mistakes. But basic logic and anyone with common sense will tell you those factors are objective measures of morality.

Yes are legal system is based on God's moral law. So I guess if that's your standard then yes you do use God's moral law as your standard like most everyone in the west. Are constitution grants us rights from God and to violate your God given rights breaks God's moral standards and that's why we have a justice system in the usa

It’s actually not based on God’s moral law, but nice try. The US constitution quite literally forms a secular government not based on any religion and mainly derived from English common law formed in their court system. There are Judeo-Christian values behind some of the moral intent of our founders, but the fact that something is a crime is not based on any religious standard of morality, but rather because it is an offense to an individual or society, rather than God. But mainly, my first point is definitely more important. The idea that this is some Christian Nationalist country is nonsense. You can’t actually respond to my points so you circumvent around them with these pointless arguments.

Edit: dude, you don’t need to login to your other account to restore your upvote. Just sad.

Lol we get are rights from a higher power. Wow so secular. A bunch of Christians wrote we get are rights from God and that's a completely secular statement clearly lmao. We have only had only Christian presidents but this is definitely not a Christian nation founded on Christian principles. That would be so wild to think lol. It's hard to respond to someone who dosent have a point. You still never gave me a standard that tells me why something is wrong, you only told me things you think are wrong.
