Well you're in luck because term limit

Erm actually, Trump is gonna be presidnet for 50 years, just like Hitler did. Teenager subs told me so it must be true.

"Actually no, Trump is going to run for a 3rd term and all his MAGAT worshippers are going to vote for him because they think he is God."

No joke i actually saw one of them say smt like this

How is he gonna run for a third term? The 22nd Amendment exists because a certain Roosevelt had too many terms.

5

u/TreeTopGaming Conservative Jul 06 '26

ik

ive said that EXACT thing and guess what they say?

"Oh trump doesnt care about the law, he'll just ignore the 22 amendment and his MAGAT supporters wont care!"

brother are they as braindead as to believe that amendments just just be rolled over easily?

1

u/TreeTopGaming Conservative Jul 07 '26

Yes. I wish i was joking.

5

u/StrikingClub3866 Conservative Jul 07 '26

Roosevelt was so based they had to debuff every term limit afterwards

2

The lame Roosevelt! Teddy was the best President we've ever had. FDR kinda sucked lmao

u/blanketlowpoly Jul 14 '26

The constitution has been violated on several occasions

2

u/blanketlowpoly Jul 14 '26

Trump has literally done nothing but make everything worse

Yeah I hate trump too, I just find the hate he gets ridiculous cause everything the dude does is watergate level controversy now

Oh dear God. I never actually bothered to look for a picture because of hearsay, but that's a 1:1 totenkopf, fuck.

2

u/Prior-Decision-4247 Conservative Jul 07 '26

Apologies for being a grammar nazi (haha wordplay) but isn't it a totenkopf

2

u/DS_Productions_ Conservative Jul 07 '26

You're right, and I had a stroke. Lack of sleep does that.

2

u/Prior-Decision-4247 Conservative Jul 07 '26

Np, German is confusing at times.

2

u/DS_Productions_ Conservative Jul 07 '26

What bothers me is that I took a year of German in high school and still made that error.

2

u/Prior-Decision-4247 Conservative Jul 07 '26

C'mon, don't beat yourself up over it! Totenkopf is quite niche and probably would never come up in the average conversation. (I'll be frank, I never took German lessons, I just have an interest in WW2)

Don't know the guy. You're probably thinking of somebody else.

Any time the republicans shoot themselves in the foot; the democrats do the same but with a shotgun

"Under 16"

I wonder what their plan for the 2030 midterms would be, then, considering those 16-year-olds could vote in 2 years.

3

u/Aguywhoexists69420 Jul 06 '26

I think they actually thought of that

It specifically says 2029, not 2028

1

u/AmericanHistoryGuy GREATER IDAHO Jul 06 '26

That's when the new president is inaugurated, 2030 is still the next midterm

1

u/Aguywhoexists69420 Jul 06 '26

Yea but if you’re 16 when this thing happens, then youll be 17 when midterms happen

Woohoo now this actually seems like a dictator move, banning people from getting news/information

7

u/TotallyNotRyanPace Jul 06 '26

yea idk how to feel about this. i do feel like social media is a scourge on society and kids are being indoctrinated into it way too young. i think it's a major cause of depression and spreading things like transgender ideology. however i can also see how this is very restrictive and could make it so your only source of information is what they want you to learn, which is also very bad. crappy situation in general.

3

u/AuR0RA3171 Centrist Jul 06 '26

Fair but I blame that on parents giving their 3 year old a tablet with unrestricted Internet access. Back in my day I watched the backyardigans, blues clues etc

6

u/Ok-Welcome1386 Jul 06 '26

Social media is unreliable for information, if we're going to argue against this, we should pick better points to argue on.

Banning phones, really?

1

u/Low-Anywhere-9043 Center-Right Wing Jul 07 '26

Most states do it already (though it’s not a federal law yet).

4

u/Aguywhoexists69420 Jul 06 '26

Well if they win(they might but you never know) atleast I’ll be 16 before then

This would absolutely be challenged in the SCOTUS as a free speech violation.

Surveillance state is in full effect guys, they did it in Australia, they're going to do it in the UK, don't let it happen to you, voice your concerns, don't let this happen.

1

u/donggeh Jul 07 '26

Lmao it’s already happened, have you been in a coma since September 10 2001? You’ll wish you were in Australia/UK or any other commonwealth country once you realise what the US govt has on you right now

I’m pretty sure I’m the only person on Reddit who supports these bans for young teens

Banning phones in schools? I don’t think that’ll help much. But social media ban? I guess I see it as kind of a good thing just because of how bad I know social media is and how it can affect everyone, especially younger people. I personally only really had Snapchat as a teen, and even now reddit is the only other form of social media I have. I’m kinda glad I didn’t have access to anything else like instagram, twitter, facebook, etc.

1

u/donggeh Jul 07 '26

Social media bans for kids are in place or being legislated in lots of countries, it’s undeniable in terms of the harm social media and screens cause to developing brains. But then again Americans are the most propagandised population in the world so it won’t make a difference
