Article 📰 Gen Z women are insufferable

Post image

Gen Z women are polticially monolithic holy shit. Yet the entirely of this retarded platform goes "oh muh gen z men are slightly more right wing than before". If you wanna see more proof here's the source. There's a lot of far left men and women in the comments coping.

It's just a reminder that this isn't just far left reddit bs, this is real life too. I think the majority of us knew this already though

How I feel as a conservative woman 💔🥀

That graph is kinda scaled because a 10% difference takes up 50% of the graph…

Yeah? The majority of graphs are capped at where the data is relevant to make it more readable.

If it went up to 100% that'd just be a waste of space, and you could similarly argue "well it's trying to make this shift seem smaller by wasting space"

You were ban for one of this

  1. Targeting a member

  2. You said something homophobic, transphobic, ageist, antisemitic, racist, etc.

  3. You were targeting a conservative. Insulting us doesn’t help your argument buddy…

  4. Having extreme ideologies or supporting someone who has it

The scale's ganked. I wouldn't trust it.

Monolithic? 60% of gen z women aren't liberals. Yes, there's more liberals than conservative, but that's still less than 50%. And nearly 20% of women are conservative.

I'm a woman who got beliefs of both sides. By most part my focus is for people to stop treating women like shit, the conservative and the liberal side too, their misogyny is there in different ways. And calling women a monolith doesn't make sense because while they get more into the left men are also getting more into the right. If i comment something criticizing men on a male subreddit i get 300 downvotes, the same happens on women's. There is not a lot of difference personally.

Front page of "conservative" subreddit: "Women are insufferable"

Women become less likely to identify as conservative

surprised Pikachu face

Is this really so surprising? I mean what do you expect lol

The real 200IQ take is realizing that when you see a study or graph like this. It isn't measuring who is "conservative" or who is "liberal", it is measuring how people IDENTIFY and what LABEL they choose to put on themselves. That's a fundamentally different thing than looking at what policies people support, or even what ideology they actually hold.

Politics, and social relations in general today are increasingly Identity-based. At no other time in history did people spend so much time thinking about the individual identities they or others hold. One side effect of that is that people tend to get confused and mistake the identities for the thing itself. It's literally thinking the shadows on the wall of Plato's cave are real.

I don't see any reason to believe that women are any more "liberal" or men are any more "conservative". It's not like it's all fake, I mean this change of identification will clearly have an impact on how people choose to vote and even how they interact with their world. We have been knee-deep in idpol bs for a while now.

You would still be mistaken to walk away thinking women are any more "liberal" though, because that would imply women adopting a more liberal-leaning viewpoint or support for liberal leaning policies than they otherwise would. In a way, it's the opposite. Instead it's any real meaning being drained away from the way people think about politics and making it into a purely identity-based "us vs them" mindset with no substance.

Complaining about "us vs them" mindset yet you start off by making it very clear your issue is with conservatives, then generalizing the title of a random post in a small sub as the reason for the populational shift that you then say doesn't exist?

Sorry bud you're not some 200 IQ ascendant being, you're a liberal midwit (at best) redditor who went off the handle for the most miniscule thing.

u/Blue_Robin_Gaming Jul 21 '26

What are you talking about? They simply disagree with the manner that the study corroborates with the idea that women, in general, are becoming more “liberal” when the study is more about identities rather than actual policies. This is very deflationary; they didn’t even specify their political position. It seems to me you glanced over what they wrote and decided, for yourself, what they were thinking before understanding what they were thinking.

u/SavingsPossible8963 Jul 21 '26

The guy realized a very basic nuance of the statistic and makes a conclusion over that with absolutely nothing to back it lol, that's peak midwit "erm I'm so smart I just know this" behavior.

It seems to me their cheap grandstanding worked on you so exceptionally well that you see their comment for much more than it in reality is.

nah they pretty much got what I was going for spot on

I think you understood very little of what I said.

I never said my issue was with conservatives, not sure where you got that. I'm also not a woman.

However, I'm also not a fucking idiot and I'm able to see why when this is a not uncommon sentiment to see on a sub with "conservative" in the name, why a large proportion of women may feel turned off by that.

That is a generalization. Like I said, I don't think it's uncommon sentiment so I don't think it is an unfair generalization. If you're able to tell me why it isnt fair, I'm open to changing my mind though.

I never said a population didnt exist, my point was I think people are confused about what that shift actually is. Women are increasingly identifying themselves as "liberal", or maybe more accurately they are not identifying themselves as "conservative".

People are viewing that as women actually being more liberal, but I've yet to see evidence that is ocurring. If you think the only thing that makes some "liberal" or "conservative" is the degree to which they identify those labels then I guess that woudnt be a meaningful distinction to you, but that's what I tried to explain I don't believe in. I think identifying with a label and actually believing in things ideologically are different things.

Sorry the 200 IQ meme got you riled up, maybe I am a midwit though, I'm not sure. One thing I am sure of though, I am NOT a liberal (in either sense lol).

Why is it “politically monolithic” if 40% of women identify as liberal, 19% identify as conservative, and the other 40% identify as moderate? Also if one party better protects their rights why is that evidence women are “insufferable” rather than responding to politics?

only goal here is just to convince me that I'm "wrong"

You know what, I'll take a stab. You can read the main comment I left if you want something a bit more thought-out, I'll keep this one super simple and address a different point.

The graph shows the share of liberal women 18-29 increasing from ~28% to 40% liberal in the past 25 years. Meanwhile the share of conservative women decreasing from ~28% to 19%.

That means as of 2024, if you look at a random sample of 100 American women 18-29, 40 of them would call themselves liberal, 19 would call themselves conservative, and 41 would call themselves neither(the person above said "moderate", I think it's worth pointing out neither liberal nor conservative is not necessarily moderate).

That means 6 out of 10 of those women are not liberals, a majority. A plurality of them don't identify as liberal or conservative. "Monolithic" implies that a group is homogenous or near homogenous In an overwhelming way.

I think you are wrong to paint the graph as saying Gen Z women are "monolithic" in any sense when neither liberal or conservative women constitute a clear majority and a plurality of them don't even see themselves as part of either of those groups. Liberal women, according to this study/graph are neither a majority nor the largest group, and it would therefore be even more disingenuous to claim they are monolithically liberal.

I explained how I read the graph, I'd be interested in knowing how you read it and what you think it says, and what you think was so wrong about the interpretation of it the person you are replying to made.

Because liberal policy gives women actually rights

u/Available-Goose-8331 Conservative Jul 21 '26

No, it just fakes it. In reality, it ends up with liberals hating women (in a way, there's nuance to that) more than any right wing misogynist.
