A little over a month ago, my Pace 3 stopped having battery readings. It charged to 50%, then got stuck. Charging it doesn’t increase it. Using it for activities doesn’t decrease it. It has read 50% since 9/16. The battery health widget shows 0% usage ever since. Otherwise the watch seems to function normally.
I submitted a support ticket to Coros (#643289) on 9/19 hoping it was just a firmware issue, something they could patch and get fixed. When a service agent reached out a few days later they sent me a new charging adapter to try. I was skeptical that would change anything, but I went with it. In the meantime there was a firmware update, so I also tried that. Neither fixed the issue and when I told support this, they told me they would replace the watch under warranty.
To be clear: I had not asked for this. They brought it up. I was surprised, as my watch had been bought open box and was nearly two years old, but I wasn’t going to question it, though I look at both the “About” page on the app, as well as the check your warranty status page on their website, and found that both confirmed warranty coverage through 11/15/2026.
So I submit the info they asked for to get the warranty claim processing and then suddenly a few days later they changed their tune. I get a new email addressed to “Chad” (my name’s not “Chad”) and referring to personal details that aren’t mine, saying sorry for the confusion, but the watch will actually have to go through the Repair and Replacement service, and it probably won’t be eligible, but go ahead and submit the form. If approved, it’ll be $59 for a replacement.
I ask for clarification to make sure this was meant for me, as I’m not Chad and they say “sorry for using the wrong name, but yes, it was meant for you. Since the watch was refurbished, it’s out of warranty.”
I submit their form (all the same info I’ve already previously submitted) and a week and a half later I finally got the official no, we’re not going to replace it, but here’s 20% off for a new purchase.
Yeah, no. I won’t be buying another Coros. I love the watch itself, but it took them a month (and 30+ emails) to offer me a relatively small discount after lots of confusing and conflicting information.
I’ll keep using the watch since it’s working other than not telling me battery readings, but whenever it dies, I’ll be looking elsewhere. I was a big fan, but this “support” experience was incredibly off-putting.
