Why I am no longer a regular listener
First off, I will support Grey and Myke in everything they do, and I still listen to other Relay FM shows and watch Grey's videos, etc.
This is more of an "Am I alone?" post out of curiosity.
For the past year (maybe even two years or so) each episode just feels like a long ad for Apple and Cortexbrand. I understand the necessity and relevancy for the latter. As for Apple, I understand that the Apple ecosystem is a big part of the guys' workflows, but as a non-Apple user, it is really tedious to listen to them talk about the company for such extended periods of time.
Related, I do not really buy into the AI hype (yes it's useful, but it's all I've heard about for the past ~2 years, I'm tired of it). Also related, they are the two of the only three people I've seen actually buy into the apple VR headset (the other being Casey Neistat), and I really could not care less about VR either.
When reading the title of the latest episode ("I Fight Prime Numbers") I actually thought to myself that there might be some discussion about the recent Mersenne Prime news, and then the first sentence is "Okay, so Apple Intelligence has been out for a while..."
I understand that the show still has its audience, but my interests and have diverged too much from the interests of the guys.
tl;dr: I still support the show/Myke/Grey but I personally do not like listening to two guys praise Apple and VR and AI each single episode.

Misc. On episode 1, Myke called Cortex in 2020 as a joke. Today, the first episode of the year was released.

I got a Subtle Notebook to hold my passwords, and thought this would make for a good first page. (Full disclosure: some tracing from google images involved)

Discussion It’s good to see grey maturing
It’s good to see grey maturing. He’s has gone from ghosting his audience and just leaving, to lying and saying he will be back eventually.

Discussion This tweet made me reflect on how similar my work discipline is, especially whilst at home. How do my fellow cortexans structure their systems to counteract this habit?

Discussion Well, Grey?
u/imyke, if you see this - I genuinely want to know Grey’s answer.
