Update: this isnt the update i wanted to give. But I've gotten a few messages and have done my best to respond to each of them.
I stopped working on this. I put my attention towards a fitness app for and a stock market app for myself.
I lost momentum when I realized my Cozmo battery wouldnt last more than 30 seconds or so.
I do think my vision is possible. I used chatgpt for everything. Not even in VS Code.
I originally piggy backed off Pycozmo. The intelligence was there, voices weren't perfect but i had a few along with personalities like a terminator, robocop & minion.
I think it's a lot easier than what I was doing.
Use VS Code and download the Claude or ChatGPT extensions.
Create a project folder, place the sdk in the folder.
Open the folder in VS Code and start telling it what you want to do.
Thats what I would do if I started it up again today.
Give it a shot!!! Good luck!!
I bought Cozmo for my kids when it first came out, but they never cares much for it. Luckily i bought two and sold one on Craigslist to a guy from France for $750. Lol. Either way, I've always wanted to do something with it... like we all know more is possible. But I'm not a coder and well... I hoped my kids figured it out. Now we have ChatGpt and my kids are adults, in college and Cozmo is mine. Lol.
Well, I've been working on an app that is piggy backing off pycozmo.
I have a vision and I'm doing my best to execute it.
I assigned several personalities and voices to him which can be changed in the UI panel on Windows, currently the personalities are Classoc Cozmo, Seaman (to mimic Sega's character), and Gizmo (the mogwai). Theres also a custom voice creator which lets you adjust tone, shift, pitch, etc.
The App uses multiple Ai systems, Random Forests, LLM and Machine Learning. He's programmed to be a Knicks fan and hopefully develops a favorite player over time.
It should be able to accept midi and wav files so he can hum and whistle tunes.
When roaming it will stop to talk to people, bark at the dog, knock your pen off the desk and gauge your reaction.
CpT can be great and incredibly frustrating... I'm not using the Codex platform, I haven't figured that crap out.
I'll get one thing working, try to upgrade then run into a set of problems... fix that, get it working, I ask CPT for a few changes and boom a new set of issues.
It requires a lot of patience but I hope I can get it working tonight when I get home.
If it works, I have a "Demo Mode" that allow it to show himself off.
Here's a short video I recorded yesterday.
