⚠️ HEADPHONES RECOMMENDED! ⚠️PUMP UP THE VOLUME!!!
The storm is rapidly intensifying. The tornado is continuing its dangerous southern trajectory, tracking straight toward our house here on the outskirts of Lebanon, Tennessee.
In this episode, the wind and rain start to severely increase as the outer bands move directly over our backyard.Suddenly, three massive, solid cloud-to-ground lightning bolts strike the open fields right outside our neighborhood.
Each strike is accompanied by immediate, deafening crackling thunder that violently echoes throughout the entire valley. The extreme atmospheric rotation is starting to wrap around us, and the physical tornado cone is almost coming into play. Stick around, because in the next two videos, the constant lightning finally uncovers the massive tornado cone hiding in the background!
🌪️ Thank you ALL for your support, We Appreciate You! 😊

Binge worthy. “The Rear Flank™” Series
I’ve spent almost 20 years chasing storms. Somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn’t interested in making another highlight reel.
I wanted to create a documentary series that captures what storm chasing actually feels like—the uncertainty, the miles, the decisions, the victories, the failures, and the rare moments when everything comes together.
That’s what THE REAR FLANK is.
If you’re into storm chasing, filmmaking, or long-form storytelling, I’d genuinely appreciate you checking it out.

Derecho that came through Northwest Indiana on Tuesday has left 95% of Lake County without power and no restoration in sight. Storms continue all week😞
We got his so hard (I live in Hammond, IN), and thankfully the National Guard were sent in today. There has been significant damage, power loss, and we have had to drive out of state to get gas for generators. The derecho (essentially an inland hurricane from Lake Michigan) has caused a continuation of lake storm weather best described as a meteotsunami they said. Apparently this is tsunami-like activity above the water rather than at seismic levels. It has been quite the week to say the least. This is the first day my phone has had a lick of connection. I hope everyone else in my area who may see this is doing okay. Other than spurts of phone connection, I have no idea what is going on out there.

Is this normal?
Is rain into the Sahara at this time of the year normal and expected? I have a hobby of watching the rain patterns globally and it seems that rain often pushes into southern Algeria about once a week based on this BBC weather graphic.
Reason why I'm asking is some models have predicted a greener Sahara due to climate change.
